In 2025, Foreign Trade University will enroll 4,180 students, an increase of 50 students compared to last year, through 4 methods: direct admission, high school graduation exam scores, academic records, and domestic and international competency assessment certificates.
In the method of considering transcripts, the school applies to 3 groups of candidates.
- Firstly, the group of candidates who have participated in/won prizes in the national excellent student competition or the national science and technology competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (including the subjects of Mathematics, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese). In this group, candidates must have achieved good or higher learning and training results in 6 semesters.
- Second, the group of candidates majoring in Mathematics, Mathematics-Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese at national key high schools/specialized high schools.
- Third, the group of non-specialized students who won prizes (first, second, third) in provincial/municipal excellent student competitions for grade 11 or grade 12 (including subjects such as Mathematics, Mathematics-Information Technology, Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, English, French, Chinese, Russian, Japanese).
Except for direct admission and international competency certificate consideration, the remaining admission methods require candidates to meet the condition of having good or higher academic and training results in 6 semesters.
For groups 2 and 3, candidates must meet the conditions of having good academic results for 6 semesters and good training results or higher; the total score of 3 graduation exam subjects must be 24 points or higher (including priority points).

Banking Academy announced admission for 37 training programs with 3,867 targets in 2025, through 5 methods: direct admission, review of academic records, review of international certificates, review of Hanoi National University's competency assessment test scores and V-SAT, review of high school graduation exam scores.
With the admission method of considering transcripts, the school sets the condition that candidates graduate from high school in 2025 or 2024, with an average score of 3 years of study (grades 10, 11 and 12) of each subject in the group of subjects registered for admission of 8.0 or higher.
The Academy gives bonus points to candidates studying in specialized programs of specialized high schools; candidates who win prizes in competitions to select excellent students at provincial/municipal and national levels.
The University of Commerce announced the recruitment of more than 5,320 students for 45 multidisciplinary training programs. This year, the school officially eliminated the method of considering academic records independently for candidates from specialized/national key schools. Candidates can only consider their academic records in combination with foreign language certificates/international examination certificates.
For candidates with international certificates, the school requires an IELTS Academic score of 5.0 or higher; TOEFL iBT score of 45 or higher; VSTEP score of level 4 or higher; TOEIC 4 skills with a minimum listening and reading score of 440 points, speaking and writing score of 240 points or higher; APTIS ESOL score of B2 or higher; HSK level 3 or higher; TCF score of 300 or higher; DELF score of B1/B2/C1/C2.
With SAT certificate, a minimum score of 1,000 is required; ACT minimum score of 20 is required to be eligible for admission.
This year, Ho Chi Minh City Banking University will enroll nearly 4,600 students, an increase of about 300 compared to last year with 5 admission methods, including: direct admission; combined admission based on high school transcripts and high school achievements; 2025 high school graduation exam scores; V-SAT competency assessment test scores; and high school transcripts combined with interviews (programs with international partners granting degrees).
The method of considering combined academic records and achievements applies to both candidates graduating in 2024 and 2025. If graduating last year, candidates must have an average score of 6.5 or higher in the second semester of grades 11 and 12. The condition for candidates graduating this year is that their academic results must be at least good.
Admission score (150-point scale) = Converted score according to subject group + Converted score according to other criteria (if any) + Converted priority score (if any).
In which, the converted score by subject group is the average score by subject group of semester 2, grade 11 and grade 12.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance will also consider transcripts in 2025.
- With the form of admission based on the total score of a combination of 3 subjects, there must be Math or Literature, and the total number of subjects in the combination contributes at least 50% of the weighted score. The school notes that the average total score of the 12th grade of the 3 subjects used in the combination of subjects for admission must be from 18.0 points or higher. The admission process is carried out from high to low until the quota is met.
- With the admission form based on the 12th grade academic results, the average score for the entire 12th grade year must be 6.0 or higher. The admission process is carried out from high to low until the quota is met.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade announces admission based on high school academic results of grades 10, 11 and 12, with the condition that the average of 3 subjects in the admission group corresponding to each major must be from 20 points or higher.
For the Law group, the minimum admission score for Math is 6.0 points and the minimum admission score for Literature is 6.0 points or the minimum admission score for Literature is 6.0 points. This score is for candidates in region 3, the calculation of priority points for regions and subjects is according to current regulations.
