Tornado caused a lot of damage in Hiep Thanh ward (Ca Mau)

On the morning of October 22, Mr. Lam Danh Nhan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward (Ca Mau Province) said that the tornado that suddenly appeared in the area caused damage to 9 houses of local residents. Of these, 3 houses were severely damaged, the remaining 6 houses suffered less damage.

According to the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward, on the afternoon of October 21, a tornado suddenly appeared and damaged houses of people in the ward, with initial property damage estimated at over 200 million VND. Fortunately, there was only property damage, no human lives were affected.

Immediately after the tornado occurred, leaders of Hiep Thanh Ward People's Committee promptly arrived at the scene, counted the damage, and mobilized local forces to quickly help people overcome the consequences caused by the natural disaster.

In the immediate future, the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward will support 3 families with heavy damage with an amount of 20 million VND each, 6 families with minor damage to the roofs of auxiliary structures (5 million VND each). At the same time, they will encourage the families to overcome difficulties and quickly overcome the damage. The leaders of the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Ward also directed local forces to quickly help people repair and rebuild new houses to soon stabilize their lives.

Hiep Thanh is a coastal ward of Ca Mau province, in recent years every year tornadoes occur causing damage to many people's properties. Every year, during the rainy season, local authorities always advise people to tie their houses to minimize damage when natural disasters occur.
