Recently, the school organized a STEM Festival with the theme “Inspiring Creativity”, attracting the participation of students from grades 2 to 5 with more than 200 products on display. Many unique models such as: utility houses, battery-powered electric cars, insect life cycles, nutritious meals... were made by students themselves from recycled, environmentally friendly materials.

Most of the products created by students contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning in the direction of developing qualities and abilities. Many models help illustrate learned knowledge, conduct fun experiments, create useful entertainment software, simulate natural phenomena, equipment, machines and highly practical applications in life.

What is valuable is that all the products on display were created by the children themselves, using recycled, cheap, and environmentally friendly materials. Not only ensuring safety and aesthetics, these models also have the ability to be applied in practice, reflecting creative thinking associated with environmental protection awareness and community responsibility.

Students of Le Quy Don Primary School enthusiastically participated and visited products at STEM Festival, school year 2024-2025.

Mr. Lam Quoc Bao, Vice Principal, said: "From the 2024-2025 school year, the school will synchronously deploy STEMeducation activities for all teachers in accordance with the digital transformation plan and develop students' capacity in the 4.0 industrial era. Initially, teachers encountered many difficulties because this is an integrated subject (Science, Technology, Math, English), but after training sessions, the implementation has been more effective."

According to the school leaders, students are very excited to participate in STEM education activities, this year's STEM products have increased in both quantity and quality. Each grade selected to display about 40 typical products, many models are highly applicable and close to life. This is proof of positive changes, while also inspiring passion and creative thinking for students. The school identifies STEM as a long-term activity, contributing to creating a foundation for developing future digital citizens. Investment from the primary level is considered an important strategy to stand shoulder to shoulder with other provinces, cities and internationally in the future.

This is the second year Cao Thien Kim, a student of Class 4B, has participated in the school's STEM Product Exhibition Day. She shared: "This is a useful, interesting and safe playground for primary school students". She and many other students feel excited when admiring the creative models made by the older students and hope that the festival will continue to be maintained in the coming school years."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, a teacher at the school, said: "From the beginning of the school year, the school has proactively developed STEM topics that are suitable for the students' level and the actual conditions at the school. Teachers in all subjects participate in developing content, taking on the role of organizers, and guiding students to participate in experiential lessons. Through that, students have the opportunity to explore , create, develop personal interests, and form a passion for learning, developing comprehensive abilities."

Mr. Lam Quoc Bao shared: "The implementation of the STEM education model brings many advantages but also many challenges. However, the school's staff and teachers always demonstrate a spirit of innovation, creativity and willingness to learn to bring quality and practical lessons to students."

Through experiential activities related to science and technology, students are not only inspired to explore but also practice essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, critical thinking and problem solving - important foundations to help them develop comprehensively in both qualities and abilities.

The school identifies STEM as a long-term direction, not only innovating teaching methods but also contributing to forming a solid foundation for future generations of students. With the achieved results, in the 2025-2026 school year, Le Quy Don Primary School will continue to expand and develop the STEM education model, creating motivation for students to learn and be creative./.
