Selecting truly excellent works to award the third Dien Hong Prize - 2025

The third Dien Hong Award has had the active participation of central and local press agencies; in which, the number of local press agencies actively participating in the award has increased compared to the previous season; the quality of works has clearly narrowed the gap between central and local levels in the categories of visual, electronic and printed newspapers. Thereby, it shows the interest of the press in particular as well as public opinion in general in the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.

On the morning of December 24, at the National Assembly House, the Organizing Committee of the 3rd National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) - 2025 held a meeting of the Final Judging Council.

Attending the ceremony were Party Central Committee members: Le Quang Tung, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office, Head of the Organizing Committee of the award; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Chairman of the Final Judging Council; members of the Final Judging Council of the Dien Hong Award...

On behalf of the leaders of the National Assembly Office and the Organizing Committee of the Dien Hong Award, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Tung sent his thanks to the members of the Preliminary Council and the Final Council of the Dien Hong Award for working responsibly and urgently, selecting quality works that are truly representative and worthy of entering the Final round.

On that basis, the Final Judging Council will review and select outstanding press works to award the third Dien Hong Prize in 2025, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Secretary General of the National Assembly Le Quang Tung hopes that the members of the Final Jury will continue to promote their sense of responsibility, work impartially and objectively, and select truly excellent works to award the third Dien Hong Prize in 2025.

Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh chaired the meeting.

Reporting on the activities of the Preliminary Council of the 3rd Dien Hong Award - 2025, Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam , Chairman of the Preliminary Council Pham Manh Hung said that after 11 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the 3rd Dien Hong Award - 2025 received 4,079 entries from 163 central and local press agencies, Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils, domestic and foreign individuals. The Secretariat screened and selected 725 entries for the preliminary round.

The preliminary council discussed and agreed to introduce 105 works to be judged in the final round, including the following categories: 22 printed newspapers; 25 electronic newspapers; 15 magazines; 13 radio works; 22 television works; and 8 photos.

The works selected for the final round must be balanced in terms of region, field, central and local, diverse in topics and have high quality in terms of content, message and form of expression.

The highlight of the third season of Dien Hong Award is that the entries are very diverse, increasing in quantity and quality, especially in the categories of electronic newspapers, radio, television, and print newspapers.

In addition, the works have closely followed the breath of life, diversified in topics and fields, especially the issues raised for the country and the entire political system to prepare the position, strength and determination to bring the country into a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

Along with that, the works vividly reflect the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, focusing on the three key functions of the National Assembly: legislation, supreme supervision and decision on important issues of the country. Some topics are focused on such as: innovation in legislative thinking, institutional innovation, innovation, improving the effectiveness of the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels as well as elected representatives...

Many works are invested in elaborately, long-term, using multimedia and graphics, demonstrating the professionalism of modern journalism and the serious and responsible work of authors and groups of authors.
