On June 6, a working delegation from the Ministryof Education and Training led by Minister Nguyen Kim Son visited Gia Lai province to work on the organization of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
According to the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Gia Lai province, this year the province will organize 42 exam sites in 17 districts, towns, and cities with a total number of candidates registering for the exam of about 16,200 candidates.
The Department of Education and Training mobilized 4,500 managers, teachers, staff and workers to participate in all stages of the exam.
According to the steering committee, the 2025 high school graduation exam is the first year that students will take the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program with many new points in exam content and organization methods.
The exam is organized according to new regulations and new exam organization plan. Candidates register for most of the optional exam subject combinations in one exam but organized for two different programs, leading to difficulties.
Specifically, candidates registering online encountered many difficulties and registered with many incorrect information. The number of examination rooms increased, making it difficult to arrange examination rooms, having to combine schools or move candidates...
Minister Nguyen Kim Son noted that Gia Lai province needs to ensure technical infrastructure, security and order, printing and copying of exam papers, and must calculate the number of reserve exam invigilators to be higher than last year.
According to him, this is a special exam with many new things. During the time of administrative unit arrangement, it is easy for the authorities to be distracted, so we need to focus best on the exam. This is also the time when the 2018 general education cycle ends.
The exam is an opportunity to evaluate the implementation of the new general education program with many adjustments in teaching and learning, textbooks and many innovations in exam questions, organization and subjects.
Speaking to teachers, the minister advised that they need to organize the best review sessions for students, but encourage students to review for exams on their own, and not encourage extra teaching or learning.
Mr. Ho Van Nien - Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee - said that the provincial leaders are very interested and will direct the organization of this year's exam to ensure the requirements of the education sector, honesty, achieving the best results, and applying the experiences learned from previous year's exams.
Mr. Nien informed that up to now, the organization of the exam in the province has not encountered any major or complicated problems.
