Arsenal have officially signed Noni Madueke from Chelsea for a transfer fee of £48 million, making him the fourth new player for coach Mikel Arteta in this summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old England winger has signed a five-year deal with the Emirates Stadium outfit and could not hide his excitement at joining his new club.
Speaking at the launch, Madueke shared: "I'm someone who often acts on intuition, and I feel like it has led me in the right direction so far. So I don't think it will be any different here. I think it will be a huge success and I'm really happy to be here."
"I was just relaxing, waiting for the green light, and when I got here today, everything became real. I'm really happy and proud, so this is a great moment for me," Madueke expressed.
Madueke also showed great ambition when talking about his goals with Arsenal: "This is already a great team with a clear identity and I'm looking forward to bringing my style to the team and trying to help the team as much as possible to go further. I want to win every competition we enter, and I believe we are definitely capable of doing that."
Madueke's move from Chelsea to the other side of the city has created mixed reactions among fans, especially as Arsenal have already spent more than £120m this summer.
Before Madueke, Arsenal signed midfielder Martin Zubimendi, goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga (all from Spain) and Christian Norgaard from Brentford. In addition, young defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia is also preparing to complete the procedure to become the Gunners' next new player for £13 million.
Arsenal are showing great determination in upgrading their squad, aiming to conquer titles in the 25/26 season after two consecutive years of fierce competition in the Premier League.
