On the afternoon of November 15, the closing ceremony of the Billie Jean King Cup International Tennis Tournament - Group III Asia/Oceania 2025 took place. Concluding 6 days of competition (November 10-15), the final results determined that the Lao team had won the right to be promoted to Group II in 2026.

The tournament featured 35 female players from 7 countries: Laos, Maldives, Guam, Brunei, Bahrain, Jordan and host Vietnam. In addition, Meldives and Vietnam ranked 2nd and 3rd in the tournament, respectively. The remaining positions belonged to Jordan, Bahrain, Guam and Brunei.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Sheetal Iyer, ITF International Referee General, highly appreciated Vietnam's organization.
She said the facilities meet international standards and the system of 14 competition courts is convenient for organizing major tournaments, and affirmed that she will connect with ITF to support VTF in upcoming training programs.

In this tournament, the Vietnamese women's team competed with a young force including Nguyen Thi Mai Linh ( Hanoi ), Ngo Hong Hanh (Army), Dang Thi Hanh (Hai Phong), Phan Diem Quynh (Army) and Vu Khanh Phuong (Ho Chi Minh City). They showed a determined fighting spirit, showing the potential of the young generation of athletes in the international arena.
Immediately after the tournament, the two tennis players Mai Linh and Hong Hanh will join the national men's and women's teams to practice in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games taking place in December in Thailand.
