"Make in VietNam" 2025: Will honor core technologies and strategic platforms

2025 is the sixth year the Award has been held. In order to realize the goals of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; the Party and State's policies on digital transformation and digital technology in 2025, the Ministry has issued the Award Regulations closely following the above orientations.

Accordingly, the Award will honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, promoting comprehensive, all-people digital transformation to accelerate and break through the development of the digital economy , digitize economic sectors, create a leap in productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy, and at the same time aim to master core technologies, platform technologies, strategic technologies...

On September 4, 2025, the Ministry of Science and Technology coordinated with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry to hold a press conference to announce and launch the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award in 2025. The Organizing Committee will accept applications from September 4 to October 22, 2025 online at: http://giaithuong.makeinvietnam.mst.gov.vn . To date, the Organizing Committee has received nearly 250 applications for the Award.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of Information Technology Industry (the unit in charge of organizing the Award) said that the 2025 Award will have 8 categories including: Outstanding digital technology products in the field of industry and construction; Outstanding digital technology products in the field of agriculture, natural resources and environment; Outstanding digital technology products in the field of transportation, post and logistics; Outstanding digital technology products in the field of education, health, culture and society; Outstanding digital technology products in the field of finance, banking, trade and services; Outstanding digital technology products for foreign markets; Outstanding strategic digital technology products; Potential digital technology products.

Regarding the participants, for the category of Outstanding Digital Technology Products for Foreign Markets: Participants are enterprises established under Vietnamese law (if it is an enterprise with foreign investment capital, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares) or enterprises established abroad but with Vietnamese people owning at least 51% of the total shares.

For the Potential Digital Technology Product category: Only applicable to micro, small enterprises or innovative start-ups established under Vietnamese law (if it is a foreign-invested enterprise, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares).

For the remaining 6 categories: Participants are enterprises established under Vietnamese law (if the enterprise has foreign investment capital, Vietnamese people must own at least 51% of the total shares) and units and career organizations with digital technology products researched, designed, created, manufactured in Vietnam and put into practical application.

Each Category will be awarded 01 Gold Prize, 01 Silver Prize, 01 Bronze Prize and Top 10.
