Delicious meal
Da Loc is a remote commune located in the north of Dong Xuan mountainous district. There are two ways to get to Da Loc: from Song Cau town, follow the Song Cau - Dong Xuan storm shelter route, and from La Hai town (Dong Xuan district), follow National Highway 19C to Xuan Lanh and then go around Da Loc. Ms. Tran Thi Thu Lieu, Principal of Da Loc Kindergarten, said: The commune has two schools in village 1 and village 5 with 48 children, all of whom are ethnic minority children. As a boarding school, students here enjoy the State's policy of supporting lunch, while their families take care of dinner. Because the people are poor, the children's meals are often not nutritious.
With such difficult conditions, many organizations and individuals doing charity work often turn to Da Loc. Recently, teachers and students of Da Loc Kindergarten were visited by the Da Nang City Media Club, who gave them 48 delicious meals, ensuring nutrition compared to their daily meals at home. Ms. Le Thi Hoa, whose child is Mang Le Hoa Thang, was sitting eating a meal with meat and fish and clearly felt the difference when her child got to eat a delicious meal. "Meals at home usually only have rice and vegetables. I love my child but I can't do anything else because there's nothing else at home," Ms. Hoa said emotionally.

Practical gift
In addition to giving a meal with meat, the Da Nang City Media Club also presented Da Loc Kindergarten with a television for teaching and 239 gifts (backpacks, notebooks, school supplies) to children in Da Loc commune. Ms. Tran Ngoc Giau, whose child is studying at Da Loc Kindergarten, was moved: Seeing young people from far away cities coming here, bringing with them all their hearts, gifts, and meals, I don't know how to thank them enough!
Mr. Chau Van Hien, Vice Chairman of Da Loc Commune People's Committee, said: This is a remote area of Dong Xuan district. People mainly work for hire or do farming. Today's support from the Da Nang City Media Club has helped the people a lot.
According to the Provincial Red Cross, the Meat Meal program is a meaningful activity to provide nutritious meals to children in disadvantaged areas, helping them have better health to study and develop. This program not only provides food but also spreads love and care to children in places with many shortages. Through this program, volunteers from the units help people, care for children in difficult circumstances in remote areas, limiting the rate of malnourished and stunted children. That contributes significantly to improving the qualityof education and physical condition of students.
In recent times, the State has had many policies and strategies to promote health care for Vietnamese children, especially child nutrition. The Ministry of Health has also implemented many specific programs and projects such as the Nutrition Care Program for the First 1,000 Days of Life to prevent malnutrition in mothers and children, improve the stature of Vietnamese people by 2025 and has achieved positive results.
Mr. Huynh Tan Tinh, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, said: The Da Nang City Media Club visited and presented gifts to Da Loc Kindergarten and gave many delicious, nutritious meals with meat and fish, with a total value of 100 million VND. Not only does it provide care and support for children, the Meal with Meat also contributes to encouraging teachers and students in remote and difficult areas of the country to improve the quality of teaching and learning," said Mr. Tinh.
Supporting the future
Nutrition plays a particularly important role in a child's development. Well-nourished children are better able to grow and learn, and are more resistant to disease and health problems.
