On the evening of November 16, the road surface at the intersection was covered with mud, extending from the roadway to the sidewalk. Many motorbikes were scattered, people were covered in mud from head to toe, had to ask people around to help them prop up their motorbikes and move away from the dangerous area.

Local residents said that at around 10pm, a truck turned from To Duc Thang onto Nguyen Thai Hoc, causing mud to splash onto the road. Many drivers passing by had mud splashed directly into their faces, sticking to their helmet visors, causing them to lose vision and fall onto the road.
At the scene, dozens of meters of road surface were covered with mud, creating a thick layer of slime, making it difficult to see and slippery. Some of the fallen motorbikes were neatly placed by the people on the side of the road to avoid obstructing traffic. Many people did not dare to continue, had to get off and walk or turn around to find another direction.

Upon receiving the news, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Police in coordination with Traffic Police Team No. 3 quickly arrived to direct traffic, warn pedestrians and guide vehicles to move safely. The authorities also made a record of the scene and clarified the cause of the incident.
