Known as the "dragon's eye", the upper Cetina River has become an attractive destination for tourists thanks to its special natural landscape.
The headwaters of the Cetina River (Croatia) are more than 100 km long and are shaped like a small but deep reservoir, originating from a stream located in Milasevo, near the village of Cetina.
Centine Lake is the source of a river.
From a bird's eye view, the lake impresses visitors at first sight. This place is associated with the appearance of a mysterious blue eye. That is also the reason why the source of the Cetina River is also known as the "dragon's eye".
Visitors are very impressed with the shape of the dragon's eyes.
In particular, the water in Centina Lake is crystal clear and very cold because it is an underground water source flowing from a depth of 155 meters from the ground. With a temperature of only 4-8 degrees Celsius, many visitors say it feels like soaking in an ice bath.
Soaking and diving are experiences that tourists are interested in.
The great depth of Lake Centina makes it a favorite diving spot for many adventurous tourists. In particular, the aquatic life in the lake makes many tourists extremely fascinated. In addition, this place is also associated with many legends of the indigenous people. Located right next to the lake is also a church of Christ.
Next to the lake is an ancient church.
Today, visitors can visit the “dragon’s eye” from the town of Vrlika, 7 km from the village of Cetina. In particular, experienced people say this is a must-see spot in Croatia. The Cetina River has been an official national heritage of this country since 1971.
