Xuan Truong Fatherland Front mobilizes people to build advanced, exemplary new rural areas

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations have focused on propagating and mobilizing union members, association members and people of all walks of life to respond to the implementation of the 5 contents of the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" associated with the implementation of criteria for building advanced and model new rural areas in localities, especially criteria and indicators on culture, society, building the political system at the grassroots level, building infrastructure... Propagating and mobilizing people to practice a civilized lifestyle, actively participate in environmental protection, building a bright - green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape, implementing universal health insurance, promoting the movement "Xuan Truong joins hands to build advanced and model new rural areas" in the period of 2021-2025. Member organizations have launched emulation movements among union members and association members to build many new models and good practices suitable to the specific conditions of each locality. Typically, the Veterans Association mobilizes members to set an example in building and implementing a cultural lifestyle, preserving the national cultural identity; contributing funds and materials to build, repair and upgrade cultural and social works, build roads, and lighting systems in villages and residential areas. The Women's Union mobilizes members to be the core in building "5 no, 3 clean" families, protecting and preserving the landscape and environment; building models of "Green Living Women's Association", "5 yes, 3 clean Women's Association". The Farmers' Association promotes propaganda and mobilizes cadres and members to apply scientific advances in agricultural production, transforming the economic structure to put into production seasonal rice, winter crops, and high-yield rice with many fields from 80-100 million VND/ha or more; developing OCOP products; mobilizing farmers to donate land to build roads and intra-field roads. The Youth Union mobilizes its members to promote the movement of environmental protection, building a green - clean - beautiful landscape. The Trade Union mobilizes its members to join hands in building the new rural area; applying many valuable scientific initiatives and topics to production, contributing to increasing labor productivity...

The movement "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has been led, directed and coordinated by the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level; all classes of people in the district have responded with consensus, donated land, contributed labor and funds to build rural infrastructure according to the criteria of building advanced and model new rural areas. Many families have donated hundreds of square meters of land and working days to build advanced and model new rural areas. Thanks to that, facilities and infrastructure such as electricity, roads, schools and stations have been upgraded and newly built; the system of village roads, canals and irrigation works has been solidified; cultural houses, village sports areas and residential groups have been repaired and newly built. Many movements and exemplary models have been launched, mobilizing resources from the people such as: the movement "Lighting up the countryside roads", building a lighting system, a model of bright - green - clean - beautiful model roads, a security camera model... With 30% of the population following Catholicism, the Fatherland Front at all levels has also promoted the movement to build "Advanced parishes, exemplary Catholic families", the movement "Beautiful parishes, beautiful houses, beautiful fields", the model "Parishes, parishes protect environmental resources"... The cultural, artistic and sports movements; folk dance, health care, musical instruments and folk song clubs of union members and members have increasingly developed, contributing significantly to preserving and promoting the advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.

In residential areas, emulation movements and self-management models have been launched, maintained and expanded by member organizations and Front Working Committees, thereby raising the sense of responsibility, awareness of compliance with legal regulations, and building a great national solidarity bloc in the residential community. In addition, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the district also encourage union members, association members, and people of all walks of life to actively participate in developing production, traditional occupations, and transforming crop and livestock structures, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and ensuring social security. With creative and flexible application, residential areas in the whole district have mobilized resources, actively contributing to the goal of building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. The material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved. The average income of people in rural areas in 2024 reached over 84.33 million VND/person. The rate of poor households has decreased to 0.7%.

Determining the construction of advanced and exemplary new rural areas aiming at improving the lives of rural people, the Fatherland Front at all levels and organizations always pay attention to taking care of the lives of union members, members and people; innovating the work of mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund and the social security program, contributing to the successful implementation of the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" launched by the Prime Minister. The movement to build and support the "For the Poor" Fund in recent years has received attention, leadership and direction from the Party Committee and the government. Every year, the district Fatherland Front builds a plan to implement the "Month of Action for the Poor", calling on agencies, units, organizations, individuals and philanthropists inside and outside the district to pay attention to supporting and caring for poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances. From 2019 to 2024, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee at all levels in the district has mobilized over 2 billion VND, of which the district level reached 546 million VND. With support resources from the higher-level fund and the fund of the district, commune, family, clan, and residential area, in the past 5 years, 60 new Great Unity houses have been built and 25 houses have been repaired with a total support amount of nearly 2 billion VND. On the occasion of Lunar New Year, National Great Unity Day, War Invalids and Martyrs Day..., the District Fatherland Front, member organizations and communes and towns organized visits to support thousands of gifts for policy families, meritorious people, poor households, households with unexpected difficulties, and encouraged poor students to overcome difficulties... worth billions of VND, contributing to the goal of poverty reduction and ensuring social security.

With specific and practical activities in propaganda and mobilization of the people, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Xuan Truong district has made an important contribution to the district's outstanding results in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. Up to now, the whole district has 13/13 communes recognized as meeting new rural standards, reaching a rate of 100%; 8/13 communes meeting advanced new rural standards according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025, reaching a rate of 61.5%; 7/13 communes meeting model new rural standards according to the set of criteria for the period 2021-2025, reaching a rate of 53.8%; Xuan Truong town meeting civilized urban standards.
