Female leader of the Union received the Ly Tu Trong award

Secretary of the Youth Union of Xuan Thanh commune Trinh Thi Luong was honored to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award 2025 - Award for outstanding Youth Union officials.

Having been involved in the Youth Union since 2010 as the Secretary of the Youth Union of Hamlet 2, Ms. Luong has always promoted her pioneering, volunteering and creative role in the Youth Union activities and local movements. She said: “When I was a third-year university student, I was honored to be in the ranks of the Party. After finishing my studies and returning to my hometown, I understood that I had to be a pioneer, constantly studying and improving my qualifications and capacity to set an example, attracting young union members in the hamlet to join the movements, and gradually building a strong Youth Union organization”. With her own efforts, Ms. Luong was elected as Deputy Secretary in 2017, then Secretary of the Commune Youth Union in 2019.

Taking on the new responsibility, Ms. Luong always strives to cultivate, practice, and complete assigned tasks well, taking the lead in activities. Identifying propaganda work as one of the key tasks, Ms. Luong and the Standing Committee of the Commune Youth Union have effectively used the Commune Youth Union fanpage to bring timely propaganda content to each Youth Union member. Along with posting and updating information on general activities, the fanpage is organized into many sections, such as: "A good news every day, a beautiful story every week", "Activities of Youth Union branches"... with rich and attractive content, attracting the attention of Youth Union members. This is also an important information channel for the Commune Youth Union to approach and grasp the aspirations of Youth Union members in the area. Ms. Luong and the Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union closely follow the resolutions, programs, and plans of the superior Youth Union and the Party Committee to develop plans, organize, and implement activities suitable to the actual situation. In particular, focusing on strongly developing volunteer activities with key contents such as: "Volunteering for community life", "Green shirts accompanying digital transformation", launching "Green Sunday", "Volunteer Saturday"... focusing on effectively implementing the movements of the Union in the direction of focusing on difficult and new tasks and meeting the needs and aspirations of young people, the practical situation in the locality. Focus on propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies; implementing the resolutions of the Union congresses at all levels for the 2022-2027 term; directing and guiding the Union bases and young people to effectively implement Directive 05-CT/TW, Conclusion 01-KL/TW of the Politburo on promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style... Thanks to that, action movements, especially the youth volunteer movement to join hands in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas, continue to be maintained and promoted. In volunteer work, the Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union directs and organizes the implementation of youth volunteer movements through forms such as: "Environmental Day", "Green Sunday" ... attracting more and more Youth Union members and students to participate in building advanced and model new rural areas, planting trees, renovating school campuses, cleaning the environment in the commune center, the commune martyrs' cemetery and Youth Union members coordinate with the hamlet base to clean up the cultural house area, green - clean - beautiful alleys to celebrate major holidays. The Commune Youth Union has launched 15 campaigns to clean the environment at cultural houses, alleys; organized car washing programs, scrap collection to raise charity funds with the purpose of giving gifts to policy families, lonely elderly people and members, teenagers and children in difficult circumstances; Organize visits and give gifts to disadvantaged and backward youth, sponsor children in difficult circumstances worth over 90 million VND, build the "Garden of Compassion" project, support unfortunate youths with over 70 million VND.

Along with mobilizing resources to carry out volunteer activities, Ms. Luong is also the author of the initiative model "Developing skill clubs for youth and children". In particular, the "Life Skills" Club stands out to equip skills to prevent and combat injuries and drowning accidents (skills to prevent and first aid when drowning, swimming skills training) for youth and children during the summer; to propagate and popularize fire prevention and fighting skills and skills to prevent and combat social evils; Learn collective activity skills through collective games, folk games... In 2024, Ms. Luong and the Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union developed a plan and organized the "Experience and Growth" summer camp, attracting more than 150 local youth and children to participate in experiential activities and learn skills such as: creating banners, golden bell contest, mind map experience contest... Ms. Luong said: "What I am most passionate about when participating in the Youth Union work is to contribute to volunteer movements and social security activities. In recent times, many projects and tasks oriented towards the community have been effectively implemented by the Commune Youth Union, contributing to changing the local appearance".

With her efforts and positive results in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement, Ms. Luong has been recognized and commended by the Party Committees, authorities at all levels and the higher-level Youth Union. In particular, recently, Ms. Trinh Thi Luong was honored to be one of 100 outstanding Youth Union cadres nationwide to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - an award for outstanding Youth Union cadres. This is not only a source of pride but also a motivation for the leader of the Xuan Thanh commune Youth Union to continue to train, devote his intelligence and youth, and contribute to building his homeland to be more and more prosperous and civilized.
