In order to serve travel needs during Tet, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport announced changes to the train schedule, increased the number of trips and adjusted passenger service times on December 31, 2024 and January 1, 2025.
Specifically, on December 31, there will be 220 trips operating from 5am to 11pm (an additional hour compared to the daily schedule). The frequency of trains running during peak hours is 8 minutes/trip, and other times is 10-12 minutes/trip.
From January 1, 2025, in addition to 200 daily scheduled trips from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 14 additional trains will depart from 0:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
From Ben Thanh Station to Suoi Tien Bus Station, the first trip will depart at 0:30, the last trip will depart at 2:00; the interval is 8 minutes/trip.
The first return trip from Suoi Tien Bus Station to Ben Thanh Station will depart at 1:03 a.m. at Suoi Tien Bus Station, the last trip will depart at 1:27 a.m.; the interval is 8 minutes/trip.
From December 22 to December 30, after 9 days of official operation, metro line 1 served 998,124 passengers with a total of 1,762 train trips, averaging more than 566 passengers/trip.
