Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above provinces are close to saturation (over 85%) or have reached saturation.

It is forecasted that in the coming hours, the accumulated rainfall in the above provinces/cities will continue to be high, such as Hue and Da Nang 10-30mm, some places over 50mm; Quang Ngai, Gia Lai and Lam Dong 20-50mm, some places over 70mm; Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa 50-100mm, some places over 150mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many places.

Flash floods and landslides can have very negative impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives; cause local traffic congestion, affect the movement of vehicles; destroy civil and economic works, causing damage to production and socio-economic activities.
