MISA - From an accounting software icon to the only Vietnamese technology enterprise presenting at the largest finance - accounting conference in ASEAN

On October 30, 2025, within the framework of the 24th AFA Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants held in Hanoi, MISA was the only Vietnamese IT enterprise selected to share its experience in applying technology for digital transformation and strategic thinking to promote green transformation in finance and accounting in the ASEAN region.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance Le Tan Can, Deputy Auditor General Doan Anh Tho, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors Doan Xuan Tien, delegates from the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), AFA member organizations, and professional organizations in Vietnam.

At the seminar "Training, Technology and Sustainable Future", Mr. Le Hong Quang - General Director of MISA shared his expertise on technology and sustainable thinking in redefining the role of accounting and finance experts in the green era.

According to Mr. Quang, in the context of the world strongly shifting towards green and sustainable development, the role of accounting and finance experts is being redefined. They are not just people who record and control numbers, but must develop comprehensive capacity with three core skill groups.

First, it is the mindset of a “technology architect”. “The architect mindset is the key for finance and accounting experts to lead businesses to sustainable development with technology and data”, he emphasized. They need to know how to build smart processes to automatically collect, process and analyze data, and choose appropriate technology such as AI or blockchain. According to Mr. Quang, technology is a strategic lever, helping experts work faster, more effectively while still ensuring transparent and reliable data.

Mr. Le Hong Quang emphasized: "The architect's mindset is the key for finance and accounting experts to lead businesses to sustainable development with technology and data."

The second is the skill of “storytelling with data”. Mr. Quang emphasized that dry environmental numbers will only have real value when they are connected to the business story. An excellent expert does not simply report how much the business has reduced emissions, but needs to analyze deeply and point out the strategic significance: This reduction in emissions helps optimize the production process, reduce the risk of being subject to carbon tax when exporting. It is this analysis that creates real value for the board of directors and investors.

Third is the ability to “translate” the global language. International standards such as GRI or IFRS S1, S2 are the common language of international investors. Sustainable finance experts need to become excellent “translators”, helping businesses present reports in a transparent and easy-to-understand manner. This ensures that any investor in the world can read, understand and trust the information provided by the business.

At the end of the discussion, Mr. Le Hong Quang emphasized the message: "Accounting and finance experts must be ambassadors of global standards, knowing how to use technology and business ethics to master the green development game in the digital age."

As the only Vietnamese technology enterprise to "contribute its voice" at the conference, MISA affirmed its commitment to continue maintaining its pioneering position, representing Vietnam's intelligence and innovation capacity in the field of finance and accounting, accompanying the ASEAN region on the journey of digital transformation and sustainable development.
