
Attending the Rally were Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, Chief Representative of the United Nations Agency for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women); representatives of the Department of Youth Affairs and Gender Equality, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Ministry of Public Security ; representatives of the Women's Unions of several provinces and cities.

On the side of Lam Dong province, there were comrades: Nguyen Ngoc Phuc, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; H'Vi Eban, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union; Bon Yo Soan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and about 600 delegates attending the program.

Since 2016, the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence has been held from November 15 to December 15 every year, aiming to raise social awareness of gender equality and contribute to spreading the message of protecting women and girls from violence.
At the same time, calling for the attention and commitment of all levels, sectors and the whole society in the process of achieving gender equality and ensuring safety for women and girls.

This year, the Month of Action has the theme “Gender equality and safety for women and girls in the digital age”.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong said that this year's theme is suitable for the context when Vietnam has just hosted the signing ceremony of the " Hanoi Convention" - the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (October 25-26, 2025), with the theme "Fighting cybercrime, sharing responsibility, looking towards the future" - a historic milestone in protecting global digital space.
At the same time, the Politburo issued Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation - one of seven strategic resolutions bringing the country into a new era.

In the context of rapid digital transformation, women and girls have more opportunities to study, work, communicate and connect, but can also easily face the risk of becoming victims of many forms of harassment and violence online as well as being left behind in humanity's digital journey.

Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong called for the cooperation of ministries, branches, agencies, organizations at the central and local levels and the whole society to continue to accompany in communication activities to raise awareness and actions on gender equality in the digital age and spread positive messages about safety solutions in the digital space.
Thereby, encouraging women and girls to proactively learn, master technology, use technology safely and use technology as a launching pad for their own development, as well as contribute to promoting the overall sustainable development of society.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc affirmed that over the years, Lam Dong has always identified gender equality and women's advancement as a key task in its socio-economic development strategy.
He emphasized: 2025 - the first year of implementing the National Strategy on Gender Equality for the 2025 - 2035 period, is the time when we need to act more decisively than ever to eliminate prejudice, violence and gender inequality.

Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, UN Women Representative, proposed three solutions to help Vietnam build a safer and more inclusive digital future for women and girls. These are to continue to improve relevant laws; promote digital literacy, knowledge and skills for women and girls; and promote society-wide efforts to eliminate gender stereotypes.

At the rally, representatives from ministries, sectors, localities and international organizations discussed the current situation, international experiences and solutions to promote gender equality and ensure safety for women and girls in the digital age.

In addition to the main contents, many sideline activities took place such as: Exhibition of communication products on gender equality of the Women's Union of some provinces/cities and the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province; experience making handicrafts with gender equality messages; forming symbols of the Action Month and street parades.
