That is the general goal set forth by the Provincial People's Committee in Plan No. 186/KH-UBND dated May 28, 2025 on actions to ensure quality, food safety, increase processing and develop the agricultural, forestry and fishery market in Binh Phuoc province by 2025.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee has also set specific goals, such as: Completing policies and laws; perfecting the organization, enhancing capacity. Ensuring the quality and food safety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, such as: The rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery food production and trading establishments certified to meet food safety conditions according to regulations reaches over 95%; the rate of small-scale agricultural, forestry and fishery food production and trading establishments signing a commitment to comply with food safety regulations reaches 70%; the rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery food samples monitored to meet food safety requirements reaches 99%; the number of quality standards granted (equivalent to) VietGAP for cultivation (area, facilities), VietGAHP for livestock (facilities), VietGAP for aquaculture (area, facilities) increases by 10% compared to 2024; building and operating a database on quality, food safety, and traceability systems for key agricultural, forestry and fishery products of the province.
The goal is to develop the domestic market with the proportion of high-quality agricultural, forestry and fishery products increasing by at least 10% compared to 2024 in the production, supply and consumption chain of agricultural, forestry and fishery products.
Increase processing and preservation of agricultural, forestry and fishery products: The rate of deeply processed products (ready-made, instant) increases by an average of 10%/year; post-harvest losses of key agricultural products decrease by 1%/year; the proportion of export value of key agricultural products reaches 60% of processed products; increase the processing rate of key agricultural products with production and export advantages, combined with building and developing the province's typical agricultural product brands.
Developing agricultural, forestry and fishery markets: Maintain and expand domestic markets and export markets; the consumption rate of agricultural, forestry and fishery products of the province through modern distribution channels (supermarkets, convenience stores, shopping malls, e-commerce, etc.) increases by at least 10% compared to 2024; develop the domestic market with the rate of high-quality agricultural, forestry and fishery products (meeting quality standards, ensuring food safety, VietGAP, GlobalGAP, VietGAHP, ISO, traceability, OCOP 3 stars or higher, etc.) increasing by at least 10% compared to 2024 in the production, supply and consumption chain of agricultural, forestry and fishery products.
To achieve the goals, the Provincial People's Committee has also set out 6 main tasks and solutions, including: Completing the legal policy mechanism, standards, and technical regulations to create favorable conditions for ensuring quality, food safety, and promoting processing and market development. Perfecting the organizational structure; arranging and improving the quality of human resources and strengthening technical infrastructure to ensure quality, food safety, increase processing and market development.
Implement propaganda, dissemination of legal policies, information, and communication on quality and food safety of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products, increase processing, and develop markets. Promote digital transformation, apply information technology in ensuring quality and food safety, increase processing, and develop markets. Implement quality assurance, food safety, increase processing, and develop markets. Proactively inspect, check, post-check, monitor, promptly detect, and strictly handle establishments and products that violate regulations on quality and food safety.
