On July 11, Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai said that Travel & Leisure (USA) magazine announced the list of 25 most beautiful islands and archipelagos in the world in 2024 on the evening of July 9.
Accordingly, Phu Quoc Island has a total score of 94.41/100 points, ranking second on the list. Ranked first is Maldives with 95.63/100 points.
The islands ranked behind are Bali, Indonesia; Milos, Greece; Dominica; Crete, Greece; Hvar & Dalmatia, Croatia; Galápagos, Ecuador; Koh Samui, Thailand; Great Barrier Reef, Australia; Ischia, Italy; Cuba; Palawan, Philippines; Fiji; Golden Isles, USA; Phuket, Thailand…
“Phu Quoc is also the only representative of Vietnam on this list of Travel & Leisure. In the first 6 months of 2024, Phu Quoc welcomed over 3.3 million tourists ; including over 499,000 international visitors; total revenue from tourism activities was over 11,000 billion VND”, Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism Bui Quoc Thai informed.

The award was voted by more than 700,000 readers who are international travelers and travel experts.
