A year of exciting competition for Dong Ha youth

“In 2023, based on the direction of the Dong Ha City Youth Union and the local situation and tasks, the Ward Youth Union has synchronously and effectively deployed all aspects of work. Notably, it has trained and introduced 10 outstanding members to the Party for consideration and admission, and developed 15 new members in residential areas.

“Local Youth Union members are always active in maintaining and protecting the landscape environment, building urban culture and civilization. In Dong Luong ward, the role and position of the youth union in political, social and economic life are clearly affirmed. Notably, the youth union organization always proactively advises the Party committee and the government on policies and guidelines on youth work; protects the Party's ideological foundation, fights against false and fabricated information from hostile forces; actively and effectively organizes the youth movement to protect the Fatherland and works with young people in studying, starting a business, and establishing a career...

According to Secretary of Dong Luong Ward Youth Union Nguyen Thi Nguyet Anh, in order to effectively implement all aspects of work, the ward Youth Union always focuses on innovating the content and methods of operation in a practical direction, paying attention to issues that young union members and the community are interested in and need the participation of the Youth Union organization. Always promote the pioneering and exemplary role in implementing the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State and the enthusiasm and creativity in organizing movements and activities of the Youth Union cadres from the ward to the neighborhoods.

For example, the Ward Youth Union established a Youth Shock Team with about 50 members, with the Youth Union Secretaries of the neighborhoods playing a core role, to regularly carry out environmental sanitation activities, maintain urban beauty, prevent and overcome the consequences of natural disasters, repay gratitude, and participate in protecting security and order...

Outstanding results in the work of the Youth Union and youth movement in 2023 of Dong Ha City are that 7/7 main targets were achieved.

In which, there are important targets such as: 100% of union officials, union members, 90% of young people are informed about the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws and resolutions of union congresses at all levels. The City Union has 3 youth projects; each grassroots union and grassroots union branch has at least 1 project, youth work to participate in building civilized urban areas, administrative reform, digital transformation, and activities for community life. Coordinate with the City's Digital Transformation Steering Committee to organize at least 4 digital transformation activities among young people. Develop union organizations in enterprises; admit 1,300 new union members; introduce 100 - 130 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission...

“From practice, many good and creative ways have emerged, bringing positive results from local youth. Typically, the City Youth Union and local youth organizations mobilized resources to give gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor students who overcame difficulties to study well, and those who had completed their prison terms to reintegrate into the community with a total value of 1.5 billion VND. Organized the removal of illegal advertisements and classified ads and effectively promoted the effectiveness of billboards and free classified ads on the streets.

100% of youth unions and community digital technology groups coordinated with ward police to simultaneously launch propaganda campaigns about the benefits of installing electronic identification through the VneID application; support and guide people to install, register, activate and use the VneID application along with other digital utility payment applications.

Continue to promote activities to accompany and support young people in starting and establishing businesses. Only preferential capital for young people to borrow for economic development entrusted through the Provincial Social Policy Bank has currently reached over 13 billion VND. During the year, the whole union recruited 1,326 new members, bringing the total number of union members in the area to 3,739.

Implementing the model of "Party members at the age of 18", the City Youth Union coordinated with the Party Committee, the school board, and the high school's Youth Union to introduce 5 outstanding student members to the Party, of which 2 members were honored to join the Party's ranks...", Secretary of the Dong Ha City Youth Union Cao Thi Hai Van added.

It can be affirmed that thanks to the synchronous and effective implementation of tasks and solutions, especially focusing on the grassroots level, attaching importance to personnel work and constantly innovating methods of gathering and uniting youth, in 2023, the youth union work and youth movement in Dong Ha City have achieved many important results.

This is the motivation for the youth of the central urban area of the province to continue to promote the pioneering and proactive spirit, bringing youth to the community with specific and practical actions, contributing to building an increasingly rich and beautiful homeland.
