"Red Rain" causes box office fever, people take advantage to set up scams

The appeal of "Red Rain" - a Vietnamese film that is causing a fever at the box office - has become a "bait" for many people to set traps to scam.

Taking advantage of the box office storm "Red Rain", many accounts on groups and forums have posted information and sold screenings to watch the film. However, according to records, many of these screenings are not real, and are tricks used by subjects to "trap" people.

NLNH (Cau Giay, Hanoi ) wanted to watch "Red Rain" in person and fell into the "trap" of buying virtual tickets twice. H shared: "I intended to buy tickets directly but the time slot I wanted to watch was sold out. When I saw that tickets were being sold on groups, I asked to buy and transferred money to the seller in advance."

However, H felt desperate when both times he contacted different accounts, he encountered the same situation of being blocked immediately after transferring money.

H said: "The first time I only dared to transfer half of the ticket price, which was 115,000 VND, and after successfully paying, I could not contact them. The second time, I looked at MN's personal page and saw many people successfully bought it, so I trusted them and asked to buy it."

In the second transaction, H requested to transfer half of the amount but MN's account requested to transfer the entire ticket amount to avoid selling it to someone else.

Not stopping there, this person requested that when transferring money, the transaction content must be clearly stated, otherwise, only half of the ticket will be received. This person continued to persuade H to transfer an additional amount equal to the ticket price and clearly state the transaction content.

After following the account holder's instructions, H received the ticket code. However, when arriving at the cinema, the system checked and found that the movie ticket was invalid, and H could not contact the account holder MN.

"The amount of money I lost was about 500,000 VND, which is not a small amount for a student. After this incident, I dare not book tickets to see Red Rain anymore" - H sadly shared.

In the same situation, NAT (Hai An, Hai Phong ) also lost more than 200,000 VND when buying reassigned tickets.
