On the morning of September 8th, Mr. Thai Nam Son, chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Thuy commune ( Quang Tri province ), said that 600 veterans from the commune were invited by a businessman from Ho Chi Minh City to watch the film "Red Rain" .
Accordingly, the veterans were divided into three screenings from 8 am to over 2 pm on the same day. They were also transported from their homes to the cinema, which was about 30 km away. The total cost of watching the film was approximately 80 million VND.
A veteran, after watching the first screening, expressed his gratitude for his first time going to the cinema, and moreover, for a meaningful film about the history of his homeland.
Meanwhile, the community also expressed their appreciation for the businessman's humanitarian act and hoped that more people would join in so that veterans could enjoy the movie "Red Rain" .
Earlier, on September 4th, at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, a special national historical site, the Army Film Studio screened this film to 6,000 viewers from Quang Tri ward and surrounding areas.
The film "Red Rain" was meticulously produced to honor the indomitable fighting spirit of the army and people of Quang Tri, and to express profound gratitude to the heroic martyrs who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
The film's setting was largely in Quang Tri province. The film crew recreated the ancient citadel of Quang Tri along the Thach Han River. Many Quang Tri residents were also invited to act as extras in the film.
The cast and crew of the film "Red Rain" held an online Q&A session with Tuoi Tre newspaper readers.
