Every time the New Year's Eve was approaching, beloved Uncle Ho often wrote New Year's greetings. The verses were concise and easy to remember but had great influence with strategic predictions and warm affection for the people of the whole country. 60 years ago, in the year of Giap Thin 1964, when the people of the whole country were carrying out the anti-American war to save the country in the South and building socialism in the North, Uncle had a premonition: " North and South are like roots and branches - Blood brothers fight with one heart - Then the reunification will be successful - North and South will be happy together again".

Dear Uncle! In the year of Giap Thin 2024, the North and the South have been completely unified for 49 years and this spring, the aspiration to build a country " more dignified and more beautiful" as Uncle Ho wished is the will and aspiration and determination of the entire Party and the entire people. And that realistic picture has radiated the fresh spring with a youthful beauty that radiates vitality, not only making nature excited but also making people happy.

The history of thousands of years of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people with many brilliant victories all occurred in the spring. Those were great and glorious victories such as: the victory in spring 1077 of the Ly Dynasty destroying the Song army; the three victories over the Yuan army of the Tran Dynasty in spring 1258, spring 1285 and spring 1288; the victory in spring 1789 of King Quang Trung Nguyen Hue driving 200,000 invading Manchu troops out of the Southern border. The capital Thang Long, the capital of the splendid land of Trang An, the capital of peace. 2024 is also the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. From the trenches that surrounded the enemy to the fire dragons flying from the capital's launch pad in 1972, a " Dien Bien Phu in the air " battle was created.

The aspiration for a dragon to fly in the spring of the country begins from the historical and cultural sediments of the nation. Among the 12 zodiac animals, the dragon is the only one imagined by humans. The image of the dragon is very popular in the lives of the Vietnamese people. In the history of the Vietnamese people, the ancestors of the Vietnamese people, Lac Long Quan (whose essence is a dragon) and Au Co (whose essence is a fairy), met and gave birth to a sac of one hundred eggs. The origin of the Vietnamese people, descendants of the Dragon and the Fairy, begins from that legend. The Mekong Delta, with its nine fertile river branches and bustling villages, is like a cluster of nine winding dragons, creating a rich rice granary for the country. The S-shaped strip of land is so soft and fluttering that a poet compared it to "Our country has the shape of a flying dragon". A country that gives birth to rivers, towering dragon bridges: Long Bien Bridge (Hanoi), Ham Rong Bridge (Thanh Hoa), Dragon Bridge (Da Nang). A country where many sweet folk songs imbued with the love of the land with fruits of all four seasons are all fertilized from the silt from those dragon rivers. The aspiration for flying dragons is the avenues, the highways shaped like dragons rising forward, opening up new avenues in both feelings and thinking, new breakthroughs in thinking, economic development, and building a rich and strong country.

Spring of the country with the aspiration of a flying dragon as General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed: " Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today". Today, although the country is facing difficulties and challenges, opportunities and chances are also being posed. In that context, the aspiration to build a strong, prosperous and happy country is becoming stronger than ever. The journey of spring aspiration is a journey towards the future with many new things, bustling new things changing every day across the country. Many new works are emerging from a sedimentary foundation of history. Not only the economic foundation but also the cultural foundation to build a new life from new people. That is the people equipped with scientific knowledge and passionate patriotism and deep in the soul is the pure beauty, the quality of the national cultural origin.
