At the launch event of blockchain company 1Matrix, Mr. Phan Duc Trung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company explained that the "Make in Vietnam" blockchain network will be a decentralized digital infrastructure. The goal set for this infrastructure is to serve public data, public services, digital finance and distributed ledger technology applications for the digital economy.

According to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Decision No. 1236/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, blockchain is one of the strategic technologies, with the goal of bringing Vietnam into the leading group in the region by 2030.

Vietnam is considered one of the countries with the top crypto acceptance index in the world, with 17 million people owning crypto assets in 2024, ranking in the top 5 globally in terms of crypto asset acceptance. In the period of 2022-2023, capital flows into Vietnam will be over 100 billion USD , ranking 3rd in terms of transaction value on centralized exchanges.

In terms of human resources, Vietnam also has great potential for the blockchain field with over 500,000 programming engineers. However, Mr. Phan Duc Trung commented that projects on the Vietnamese blockchain network are not successful, are technologically backward, or for many reasons are almost non-existent.

"Vietnamese blockchain networks do not dare to be proud of being blockchain networks because there are still too many legal barriers both in Vietnam and internationally," Mr. Trung shared.

Mr. Phan Duc Trung, who is also the Chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, commented that complete mastery of technology and intellectual property in the blockchain field helps Vietnam proactively apply technology to the development process of the digital economy, digital society, and digital future, while strengthening national sovereignty over data, information security and raising Vietnam's position in the international arena.

"This will be the first blockchain service network designed and operated by Vietnamese people to meet international interconnection standards," Mr. Phan Duc Trung emphasized.

According to Mr. Trung, 1Matrix expects to deploy about 50-100 nodes by 2027. The company also aims to connect with two major blockchain networks in China (BSN) and Europe (Ebsi) to solve cross-border problems.

In parallel with the network development, 1Matrix initiated the "Vietnam Blockchain Talent Search: VietChain Talents 2025" contest. The contest aims to discover and nurture high-quality human resources for the industry. The Government Cipher Committee and the Vietnam Blockchain Association provide professional sponsorship for the contest.

According to the National Business Registration Portal, One Mount Group established a subsidiary, 1Matrix JSC, with a charter capital of VND200 billion on March 31.

According to the introduction, 1Matrix operates in the blockchain field, providing comprehensive services to businesses and public-private organizations, aiming to promote digital transformation, develop the digital economy and build a "Make in Vietnam" blockchain network.
