Domestic coffee prices today
Domestic coffee prices in the Central Highlands region today, May 7, 2025, remain unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 128,200 and 128,700 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are buying coffee at the highest price of 128,700 VND/kg. This remains unchanged from yesterday.
Similarly, the price of coffee in Dak Lak province remains unchanged from yesterday at 128,500 VND/kg.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged, trading at 128,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged at 128,200 VND/kg.

Earlier this week, domestic coffee prices unexpectedly dropped sharply, averaging a loss of about 1,300 VND/kg, falling to just 128,600 VND/kg. This decline has led many farmers to fear a repeat of the 2024 scenario, when prices peaked at 134,400 VND/kg at the end of April but then fell to only 90,000 VND/kg in May, and only recovered in November.
Despite fluctuating domestic prices, coffee exports in the first four months of 2025 achieved impressive results. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, coffee export revenue reached US$3.78 billion, an increase of over 51% compared to the same period last year, mainly due to a sharp increase in selling prices. The average export price reached US$5,698 per ton, a significant increase of 67.5% compared to last year, including both roasted and ground coffee and instant coffee.
Vietnam's robusta coffee exports were lower in the first quarter of 2025, contributing to supporting robusta prices at this time. The General Department of Vietnam Customs reported that Vietnam's coffee exports in the first quarter of 2025 decreased by 15.3% year-on-year to 495,780 tons.
World coffee prices today
Coffee prices on the world market rose slightly on both exchanges:
Robusta coffee (London):
July 2025 delivery: Increased by $35/ton, to $5326/ton.
September 2025 delivery: Increased by $38/ton, to $5269/ton.
Arabica coffee (New York):
July 2025 delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb, to 391.95 cents/lb.
September 2025 delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb, to 385.5 cents/lb.
On the international market, Arabica coffee prices have recovered slightly after hitting a low point in over a week. This is due to significantly lower-than-average rainfall in Brazil's largest coffee-growing region, Minas Gerais state, reaching only 1.5mm in the week ending April 26th, equivalent to 21% of historical rainfall. This has stimulated short covering in the futures market.
The market is currently focused on the coffee harvest in Brazil, the world's largest producer. Robusta coffee has already begun harvesting early in some regions, while arabica will be in season from May or June.
However, the upward price trend may be limited by slowing consumer demand. Two major US corporations, Starbucks and Keurig Dr Pepper, both reported declining coffee sales in the first quarter, partly due to higher prices impacting consumer purchasing decisions.
