According to NBC News , in a statement on November 10, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said US forces attacked two more boats believed to be carrying drugs in the eastern Pacific Ocean on November 9, killing six people.
"This is the latest in a series of similar attacks against what the US government considers 'designated terrorist organizations'. The two attacks were carried out in international waters and involved three men on each vessel," Minister Hegseth said.

"According to our intelligence sources, these vessels are involved in illegal drug trafficking, carrying narcotics and traveling along known drug trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific," the Pentagon chief wrote on X network.
Video footage of the attack was also posted by Minister Hegseth.
Minister Hegseth said all six people killed were “narco-terrorists”. However, in previous attacks, their identities were not released and no evidence was presented to prove their links to organized drug trafficking.
These attacks by Washington have met with opposition from many countries in South America, including Colombia and Venezuela.
Last month, US President Donald Trump said he may seek congressional support for ongoing military action against suspected drug traffickers.
