On the afternoon of June 25, Nam Dinh confirmed that they will compete in 5 different tournaments in the 2025/26 season, including the National Super Cup, V.League, National Cup, Southeast Asian Cup and AFC Champions League Two. This is a historic milestone for Vietnamese football as it is the first time a team has participated in so many tournaments in one season.
According to the schedule, Nam Dinh will open with the National Super Cup on August 9 before the V.League kicks off. In addition, the two international tournaments, the Southeast Asian Cup and AFC Champions League Two, will be big challenges for the team from the South, requiring squad depth and careful preparation in both physical and professional aspects.
Currently, Thien Stadium is undergoing comprehensive maintenance of the grass surface to prepare for the new season. This is not only a step in preparing the facilities, but also shows Nam Dinh's determination to improve its image and quality of competition when entering the regional and continental arenas.
"Winning the championship last season was great, but next season will be much more difficult. We will have to clearly define each specific goal, because we cannot spread our forces emotionally," coach Vu Hong Viet shared on the day Nam Dinh was officially crowned.
He also said that right after the celebration, the coaching staff and club leaders sat down to discuss personnel plans, competition schedules and effective rotation plans.

With a dense competition schedule and strict requirements in many arenas, Nam Dinh is expected to strengthen its squad in the near future. The team from Thanh Nam has extended contracts with a series of key players, including both domestic and foreign players. In addition, they have just successfully recruited midfielder A Mit from Thanh Hoa and central defender Dang Van Toi from Hai Phong .
Nam Dinh will not only be the domestic champion but also the representative image of Vietnamese football when playing on the international stage. This requires them to not only maintain high performance but also build a style of play with identity, tactical discipline and international competition spirit.
The pressure is huge, but it is also an opportunity for the Southern team to step out of their familiar limits and write a new chapter in the club's history. With thorough investment, clear ambition and strong support from fans, Nam Dinh is facing a turning point season, not only for themselves but also for domestic football.
