
Specifically, the airports forecast to be in the area directly affected by storm No. 12 include: Phu Bai International Airport, Da Nang Airport, Chu Lai Airport. Pleiku and Phu Cat Airports are proactively updating information and taking precautions in case the storm develops abnormally.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests the presiding units to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to inspect the airport infrastructure system, communication system... to promptly detect and handle damages (if any) to ensure the safety of works, stations, and ensure the safety of operations at airports.
These airports have implemented plans to prevent rain and storms, flood prevention measures, clear the flow of water in the airport, protect the facilities, vehicles and equipment at the airport, minimize damage caused by rain and storms and quickly stabilize all aviation activities to serve the needs of passengers.
For airports under construction such as Chu Lai and Phu Cat, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests investors to request contractors to immediately implement storm response work; determine technical stopping points to stop construction according to the storm's developments; prepare conditions to promptly fix construction incidents, ensure safety, and limit damage caused by storms.
The Department also noted that after the storm weakened and made landfall, there was a risk of rain after the storm and asked units to arrange 24/7 duty and proactively update meteorological information to promptly propose appropriate and safe exploitation plans.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to direct aviation meteorological service providers to strengthen the work of ensuring the quality of meteorological information; continuously monitor the weather situation in the area of responsibility, update forecasts and warnings; and provide timely and complete monitoring, forecasting and warning information to users.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires units to strengthen coordination; closely monitor the developments of storm No. 12 to have plans to adjust flight plans or change flight schedules accordingly and ensure safety for flight operations.
In addition, fully update meteorological information from relevant aviation meteorological facilities and base on the actual situation to deploy necessary response actions, minimize impacts on operations, ensure flight safety, protect people and property of the unit from natural disasters.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests the Port Authority to supervise the implementation of response measures at relevant airports; ensure smooth communication with the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and relevant agencies and units within their scope of responsibility to deploy response measures in all situations.
