Improve the quality of grassroots union activities

Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor presented gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Thach Thanh district at the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of Thanks to the Party" in 2025.

S&H Vina Thach Thanh Co., Ltd. is a 100% Korean-invested enterprise specializing in processing garment products for export. Recently, the Trade Union has proposed to the company's management to support and create favorable conditions in terms of time and budget to effectively carry out timely care activities for union members and workers.

The Trade Union has actively paid attention to solving important issues such as employment, income, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; negotiated with employers to sign collective labor agreements, with many provisions more favorable than the law for employees. Specifically, every year, the enterprise gives employees a Tet bonus of one month's basic salary and a gift worth 150,000 VND/person; coordinated with the trade union to organize the "Tet Sum Vay" program for employees; on the occasion of holidays such as March 8, April 30 - May 1, June 1, September 2... the company organizes cultural - artistic, sports activities, seminars and presents gifts to employees and children of union members and excellent employees worth from 150,000 VND to 500,000 VND/gift. Maintain good quarterly and monthly coordination between the union and business leaders to visit and give gifts to 4-6 employees in especially difficult circumstances or with serious illnesses, worth 1 million VND/gift...

With the motto of operating towards the grassroots, taking union members and employees as the center, the trade unions at all levels of Thach Thanh district have done a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees through outstanding activities, such as: coordinating with functional departments and branches to inspect and supervise the implementation of policies and regimes such as: salary, social insurance, health insurance, sickness, maternity... for employees to ensure full and timely compliance with the provisions of law. Participating with the authorities and professionals to reorganize and reform administrative procedures in agencies and units; discussing and proposing solutions to remove difficulties in employment and workers' lives. In order to innovate and improve the quality of negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements, the Standing Committee of the District Labor Federation has developed a plan and guided the grassroots trade union to proactively coordinate with professionals, authorities, and employers at the same level to organize conferences of cadres, civil servants, and laborers according to the contents stipulated in the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level in 2022 and Decree 145/2020/ND-CP of the Government to ensure compliance with regulations. As a result, 32/32 administrative agencies and units have organized conferences of cadres, civil servants, and public employees; 5 enterprises with trade unions have organized conferences of laborers. Through the conference, it has contributed to promoting the emulation movement among cadres, workers, civil servants, and laborers; at the same time, removing difficulties and obstacles in work and labor production.

Activities to care for, represent, and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers have been carried out with attention by all levels of trade unions in the district, creating a widespread influence among cadres, union members, and workers. The annual programs "Tet Sum Vay" and "Worker's Month" are maintained and organized in many diverse forms, promptly sharing, encouraging, and visiting union members and workers in difficult circumstances. From the beginning of 2024 to May 2025, all levels of trade unions in Thach Thanh district have cared for, supported, and visited thousands of gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 1.4 billion VND; supported the construction of 5 "Union Shelters" worth 200 million VND. Implemented the organization of the "Union Meal" program at 5 enterprises with 5,105 union members and workers benefiting with a total value of 319 million VND.

Comrade Ngo Thi An, President of the Thach Thanh District Labor Federation, said: Promoting the achieved results, in the coming time, the District Labor Federation will continue to innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, improve the capacity of trade union officials at all levels in the direction of union members and workers; strengthen the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; improve the quality of propaganda andeducation work; develop union members, build a strong trade union organization.
