At the program, participants are equipped with knowledge and better understand some popular and effective online sales channels in the tourism and service sectors.
Accordingly, the guest expert of the program shared an overview and concept of intermediary room sales channels (Travel Agency - TA), online travel agents (Online Travel Agent - OTA); instructions on how to develop a TA network; instructions on how to develop and expand the OTA channel; how to operate and basic techniques of online travel service platforms such as KKday, Klook, etc.
At the same time, update new sales trends that suit tourists' tastes in the 4.0 digital era; businesses, service providers, and tourism communities ensure codes of conduct and professional standards in the digital environment.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Tan Van Vuong, currently, the number of tourists traveling alone is very high (70-80% of guests staying), most of them book services such as hotels, air tickets, transportation rentals, sightseeing tickets, food vouchers, short-term tours through online travel agency channels OTA such as Booking, Agoda, Traveloka... and online service platforms such as Klook, KKday.
Therefore, businesses must know how to combine different sales methods in business operations and choose online sales channels to increase business efficiency, contributing to promoting the business brand and bringing businesses closer to customers.
Through the program, the department hopes that businesses and service establishments will pay more attention to digital transformation and information technology application; actively promote online sales channels to attract customers; contribute to business efficiency as well as increase competitiveness with other destinations.
“The Department will continue to promote communication, advertising, market promotion, and information sharing to support businesses in introducing products and accessing domestic and foreign tourism markets,” Mr. Tan Van Vuong emphasized.
