During the past term, with the unity of effort and the spirit of "Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Setting an example - Quality - Efficiency", the Party Committee of the school successfully implemented the Resolution of the 10th Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, achieving many important results; completing the goal of building a school that meets level 1 standards in the leading group of the country.

Notably, the work of building a standard political school according to Regulation No. 11-QD/TW, dated May 19, 2021 of the Secretariat has achieved positive results and completed 1 year ahead of the approved schedule. The school's Party Committee continues to direct the review and development of a plan to strive to achieve level 2 standards before 2030. At the same time, focus on implementing key tasks of streamlining and organizing the apparatus to be lean and efficient, improving the ratio of lecturers and staff quality, improving the quality of training and fostering, developing administration, promoting the application of information technology and digital technology in the school's activities.

The Party Committee focuses on developing a team of cadres and lecturers with sufficient qualities and capacities to meet the increasingly high requirements of political tasks and standardize professional and theoretical qualifications. The leadership and direction of training and fostering has achieved many outstanding results, contributing positively to the standardization and improvement of the quality of the city's cadres, civil servants and public employees, while contributing to improving the quality of human resources in the provinces of south-central Laos. The Party Committee focuses on leading and directing the synchronous and comprehensive development of scientific research and summarizing practices, ensuring practicality and high quality.

At the congress

The Party Committee has successfully implemented and accepted 20 school-level scientific projects; 6 provincial-level projects and above, including 3 provincial-level science and technology projects and 1 ministerial-level project; coordinated the organization of 5 provincial-level and above scientific conferences, 15 school-level scientific conferences; published 17 monographs, reference books and scientific conference proceedings. These research products have been promptly transferred to serve teaching work and provide valuable materials for localities and units in socio -economic development, Party building and the political system, etc.

Speaking at the congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Pham Duc Tien suggested that the school's Party Committee should continue to raise its position, affirm its role as the city's center for political theory training; consider the quality of cadre training as the core value, the school's top political mission. The mindset of "Teaching correctly - teaching accurately - teaching well" needs to be upgraded to "Teaching to act - Teaching to inspire - Teaching to awaken potential for contribution". Building a team of lecturers with theoretical depth, sharpness in practical theory, courage in ideological struggle, and the ability to spread faith in the Party and the revolution. Each Party cell must be a place for serious and effective political activities; each Party member must be a model of ethics, courage, theoretical thinking and practical action, meeting the criteria for building a school that meets level 2 standards.

Seriously and effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Improve the quality of scientific research, summarize practices; closely combine teaching and learning with scientific research, actively consult and contribute ideas to the development of new policies and strategies of the city.
