- What core values did your childhood in Ha Giang form in Nong Thuy Hang and how did it help you on your journey to winning the beauty queen crown?

Ha Giang is not only the place where I was born but also the source that nurtured my soul. Since childhood, I have learned resilience, independence and pride in my national cultural identity. These values have helped me not to be afraid of challenges, not to give up and always believe in good things. For me, the crown is not a destination but an opportunity to affirm that an ethnic minority girl can absolutely shine in her own way.

- With 12 consecutive years of excellent student achievements and 3rd prize in National Literature, what prompted you to choose the path of beauty instead of pursuing an academic career?

I have never considered education and beauty as two opposing paths. Knowledge is the foundation that helps a girl become more attractive, not only because of her appearance but also because of her thinking and the way she creates value for the community. When the opportunity came, I realized that the beauty stage is the door to spread the voice of ethnic culture. I want to prove that an ethnic minority girl can not only study well but also shine in many different ways.

The title is just a premise. Knowledge and beauty are not the destination but the tools for me to contribute more, spread more and help the community in the most complete way.

- As an ethnic minority, what prejudices or discrimination have you faced and how did you overcome them?

There have been opinions like "ethnic girls should get married early" or "ethnic beauty is hard to meet beauty pageant standards". Instead of letting those thoughts hold me back, I turn them into motivation. I always remind myself that every time I move forward, I am not only representing myself but also the community. I want to prove that an ethnic minority girl can stand on equal footing with anyone in any field.

- What does the project "Colorful wedding costumes of Vietnamese ethnic groups" mean to you?

This is my biggest passion after being crowned. The project is not only a journey of cultural discovery but also an opportunity to deeply connect with my roots. Each costume carries the story, customs and spirit of an entire community.

A memorable moment was when we took a photo shoot in Thai Nguyen in the rain. Although we had many difficulties as we could not borrow costumes from the museum, we received support from a brand. When the photo shoot was completed, we felt proud to have contributed to preserving traditional beauty.

- How has the Tay ethnic identity become your advantage in the international arena?

At Miss Friendship International 2023, the Tay ethnic identity helps me stand out with a unique story about costumes, Then melodies and Tinh lutes. But above all, the Tay culture has created a solid foundation of bravery and life values: gentleness, sincerity and respect for friendship. This helps me stay calm and friendly throughout the journey.

- What is special about the story of the meeting between you and your boyfriend from the charity trip?

We met at a charity club and were introduced by friends. The special moment was the first day we met, I had to take my grandmother to the eye doctor. Instead of canceling the appointment, he took the initiative to take my grandmother and me. At that moment, I felt the delicacy and sincerity in him - someone who not only cared about me but also respected my family.

I learned that a lasting relationship is based on understanding, respect and growing together. The most beautiful love is not when two people are the same but when they know how to accept and honor the differences.

- When deciding to make your relationship public, what factors did you consider?

I believe that a strong woman does not need to hide her happiness. However, I also understand that every personal decision can affect her image and career. It is important to always know the boundaries between personal life and work.

- In the temptations of showbiz, what is the "red line" that you always remind yourself of? Where does the philosophy of becoming the best version of yourself come from?

It is moral values and sincerity. I believe that fame may come and go, but character and self-respect are the most important things. My "red line" is not to sacrifice myself for success, not to forget the principles I have set for the glory.
