Vietnam is one of the countries with a rich culinary culture, thanks to the combination of a long-standing heritage with the sophistication and abundance of local ingredients, processing methods and regional flavors. Cuisine has become one of the most attractive factors attracting tourists to Vietnam.

Project: "Variation of Ten Thousand Ingredients, Cooking Millions of Vietnamese Dishes"

With the common goal of promoting Vietnamese tourism - cuisine - culture to the public nationwide and international friends, in 2023, the MAGGI brand, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd., the Tourism Information Center and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism signed a strategic cooperation agreement to implement the project "Variation of Ten Thousand Ingredients, Cooking Millions of Vietnamese Dishes". If 2023 is the journey of famous Vietnamese ingredients and dishes on the culinary map, then in 2024 the cooperation program between the two sides focuses on creative highlights under the theme "Exploring golden ingredients, making Vietnamese cuisine famous", revolving around "rough gems" - local ingredients that are not yet known to many people, including figs, a specialty fruit of Hue.

By introducing and preparing dishes from figs, through influential content creators, the program not only contributes to honoring the diverse cultural and culinary values ​​of Hue but also promotes the development of Vietnam tourism, including Hue city, through the story of local ingredients. To date, the program has built an online culinary map with thousands of local recipes provided by food lovers. This online culinary map has been certified by a record organization in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, the program will continue to build and upgrade the online culinary map platform to become a data warehouse as well as a reliable destination for Vietnamese cuisine lovers who want to learn about local ingredients and dishes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the “Hue – Culinary Capital” Program in 2025, Ms. Tran Thi Thao Giang, External Relations Manager of Nestlé Vietnam, said: “We are very proud to contribute and accompany today’s event, where culinary artisans, culture and travel lovers come together to share, explore and honor the unique values ​​of Hue cuisine. Our presence here demonstrates the strong commitment of the MAGGI brand, Nestlé Vietnam and the Tourism Information Center, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in supporting and developing Vietnamese cuisine and tourism, including the rich culinary heritage of Hue city.”

The online culinary map of the project

The online culinary map of the project "Variation of Ten Thousand Ingredients, Cooking Millions of Vietnamese Dishes" sets a Vietnamese record with 9,422 dishes after one month of launch.

This is the third year that the two sides have implemented the strategic cooperation program to honor Vietnamese culinary culture and promote local tourism development.
