The collaboration between two leading and reputable international brands in the fields of nutrition and vaccination is expected to provide medical solutions that contribute to the health care of children and adults, especially supporting children's optimal physical and intellectual development, thereby contributing to improving the quality of life and community health.

This collaboration is a concrete action aimed at realizing the key objectives of the National Strategy on Nutrition and the Government's Strategy for Protecting, Caring for, and Improving the Health of All People for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045. It particularly emphasizes the development of the stature, physical fitness, and intelligence of Vietnamese people, strengthening proactive disease prevention, and reducing inequality in access to healthcare .

In particular, this collaboration is even more meaningful as it promptly provides Vietnamese consumers with more choices of genuine, high-quality medical-grade nutritional milk, especially in the context of a turbulent Vietnamese market marked by a series of cases of counterfeit milk and substandard food discovered by authorities.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two parties will simultaneously implement a series of activities to raise community awareness about nutrition for young children at VNVC vaccination centers nationwide, with the participation of leading doctors and experts in vaccination and nutrition from Vietnam and internationally.

In addition, people can easily access high-quality, genuine Nestlé nutritional products through the VNVC SHOP convenience store, which has just been launched at vaccination centers nationwide, as well as through online sales channels.

In a market rife with concerns about counterfeit and substandard products, Nestlé Health Science's infant formula and nutritional supplement lines are 100% imported from Switzerland, guaranteeing superior origin and quality. These specialized product lines are suitable for all ages and health conditions, from children to the elderly and those with underlying health conditions, meeting the increasingly stringent nutritional needs of the community.

Mr. Zubin Trikha, Head of Specialty Nutrition at Nestlé Health Science Vietnam, stated that the company will implement a nutrition and health advisory tool to help families make appropriate dietary choices. This tool will particularly focus on children, promoting healthy development and growth in their early years.

“Through this collaboration, we expect to work with VNVC to create truly positive changes in people's nutritional awareness and behavior, especially that of young children. We believe that combining scientific nutrition with proactive disease prevention is the key to the holistic development of future generations,” Mr. Zubin Trikha shared.

Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of the VNVC Vaccination System, stated that in addition to providing safe and high-quality vaccination services to millions of Vietnamese families every year, the VNVC Vaccination System is constantly striving to find comprehensive solutions to improve the quality of life and provide safe, internationally standardized, and easily accessible healthcare for the people.

Previously, VNVC also signed strategic cooperation agreements with many large nutrition companies and corporations in Vietnam and around the world . These collaborations create many practical values for people, providing a diverse range of high-quality nutritional products, porridge, and baby food through the VNVC SHOP convenience store, aiming to improve health and immunity, especially for patients and those requiring special care, and supporting the treatment process.

“Scientific nutrition and proactive immunization are two essential pillars in building a solid and comprehensive health foundation for each individual and society as a whole. Early, proper, and effective care, especially in the early stages of life, is crucial, not only helping children develop optimally physically and intellectually, but also laying the foundation for the formation of a generation of healthy, intelligent citizens, future leaders who will contribute to building a prosperous nation capable of deep integration with the world,” affirmed Dr. Bach Thi Chinh.

Proper nutrition for children in their early years plays a fundamental role in their brain development, physical strength, and overall height growth. Although Vietnam has achieved significant progress in improving nutrition, it still faces many challenges.

According to recent surveys (2019-2020), the average height of young Vietnamese men is 168.1 cm and that of young women is 156.2 cm, still modest compared to the global average. Alarmingly, one in five Vietnamese children suffers from stunting due to malnutrition. Premature birth is also a leading cause of death in children under five, and many premature babies who survive face lifelong disabilities due to a lack of adequate medical care. These health and nutritional challenges not only negatively impact the physical development of future generations compared to other countries, but also cause long-term consequences such as weakened immunity and increased risk of infectious and chronic diseases in adulthood.
