In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said it had summoned the ambassadors of the United States, Britain and Canada to its headquarters over “interference in Russia’s internal affairs and activities inconsistent with diplomatic conventions,” after the countries issued statements opposing a number of Moscow’s decisions regarding opposition figures.
