23 fighter jets participated in the April 30 parade rehearsal, including: 7 Su-30MK2 fighters, 6 Yak-130 multi-role training and combat aircraft, 10 military helicopters (Mi-171, Mi-17, Mi-8).
These parade planes are in service with the 3 air divisions 370, 371, 372 and the Air Force Officer School, under the Air Defense - Air Force Service.
According to plan, the helicopters took off from Bien Hoa military airport ( Dong Nai ) at 7:25. About 5 minutes later, 2 squadrons (6 Yak-130s) took off and then 2 squadrons (7 Su-30MK2s) took off...

According to the contract, the Yak-130 and Su-30MK2 aircraft will form a formation at the waiting line (airspace of Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong ), wait until the 3 helicopter squadrons begin to enter the grandstand area, perform the first flight, then fly into Ho Chi Minh City airspace, across the parade area, the stage and perform technical maneuvers (tumbling, turning on the power to increase the drill flight force...).
In particular, during the rehearsal this morning, the Su-30MK2 will perform the release of heat traps. This is an active defense system designed to protect aircraft from anti-aircraft missiles using infrared homing heads. The heat trap system (or heat trap decoy) is designed to be mounted on the tail of the Su-30MK2 fighter.
The helicopter squadrons flying this morning consisted of 10 aircraft, flying in a 3-4-3 formation. The helicopters all flew the Party flag and the national flag and flew twice over the rehearsal area.
