As planned, the suspension to convert the application system from the main data center to the backup data center and vice versa will affect three systems: e-invoice application, e-tax service and transmission backbone.

Specifically, the electronic invoice application will be temporarily suspended from 0:00-4:00 a.m. on May 24 and from 0:00-4:00 a.m. on June 14. The electronic tax service application and the transmission line will be suspended from 6:00 p.m. on May 23 to 4:00 p.m. on May 25, and a second time from 6:00 p.m. on June 13 to 4:00 p.m. on June 15.

From 4:00 a.m. on May 24 to 0:00 a.m. on June 14, the e-invoice application will be temporarily operated at the backup data center, with performance reaching about 70% of normal. Similarly, the e-tax service system and the transmission axis will operate at the backup center from 4:00 p.m. on May 25 to 6:00 p.m. on June 13.

By 4:00 a.m. on June 14, the e-invoice application will be back in operation on the main data center. The e-tax service and communication backbone will be fully restored from 4:00 p.m. on June 15.

During the system suspension period, taxpayers will not be able to use electronic services such as creating and sending electronic invoices; declaring and paying taxes via eTax, iCanhan, eTax Mobile; accessing the e-commerce portal, the e-portal for foreign suppliers, as well as related public service portals.

Previously, from March 12-17, the Tax sector also temporarily suspended a number of systems to serve the upgrading and rearrangement of tax agencies throughout the sector.

The Tax Department recommends that taxpayers and related units proactively plan their work and conduct transactions before the system is temporarily suspended to avoid affecting production and business activities.
