August 15: VND/USD central exchange rate on the rise

The State Bank listed the central exchange rate of the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) today up 9 VND, to 25,249 VND/USD.

According to the regulated trading band of ±5%, today's ceiling exchange rate is 26,511 VND/USD, and the floor exchange rate is 23,987 VND/USD.

The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam is currently 24,028 - 26,452 VND/USD (buy - sell).

Reference exchange rates between Vietnamese Dong and foreign currencies at the Foreign Exchange Management Department:

Early this afternoon, the exchange rate at VietinBank was at 26,094 - 26,454 VND (buy - sell), a sharp increase of 204 VND for buying and 24 VND for selling.

Meanwhile, at Vietcombank, the exchange rate on August 15 was listed at 26,050 - 26,440 VND, down 20 VND in both directions compared to yesterday. The exchange rate at BIDV Bank today was 26,091 - 25,451 VND, down 9 VND.

In the free market, the USD exchange rate this afternoon was 26,460 VND for buying and 26,550 VND for selling, up 10 VND for buying and down slightly 5 VND for selling.
