According to the City Tourism Development Promotion Fund, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will have the participation of 10 Da Nang and Central Vietnam tourism businesses including:Sun Group Corporation, Vinpearl, Vietnam Travelmart Joint Stock Company, Viet Pilgrim Company Limited, Hoiana Resort & Golf, Visit Indochina, Wyndham Danang Golden Bay, Viet Pilgrim, Asian Companion Travel, Da Nang Dreamtrip and Peony Edu Travel to provide product packages and connect with nearly 100 partners who are major travel companies in Malaysia.
The program aims to enhance the promotion of Da Nang tourism to the Malaysian market, creating opportunities for Da Nang tourism businesses to connect with Malaysian partners.
Within the framework of the Program, Malaysia Airlines will inform about the plan to operate the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang route on September 24, 2024 with a frequency of 07 flights/1 week, increasing the total number of airlines operating the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang route to 03 airlines (Air Asia, Batik Air and Malaysia Airlines) with a frequency of 28 flights/1 week.
Malaysia is always in the top 10 international tourist markets to Da Nang city and has impressive growth.
From 26,787 Malaysian visitors to Da Nang in 2016, the number has tripled to 88,583 in 2019. In the first 7 months of 2024 alone, there were 75,067 Malaysian visitors to Da Nang, almost reaching the level of the whole year of 2019.
The impressive growth of the Malaysian market to Da Nang in recent years is a testament to the attractiveness of Da Nang as a destination to Malaysian tourists.
With the opening of direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Da Nang by Air Asia, Batik Air and Malaysia Airlines and the popularity of Malaysian tourists in Da Nang, there is a basis for expecting tourist exchange activities between Da Nang (Vietnam) and major cities in Malaysia.
