On November 22, at Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School (campus 2), An Khe Ward, Da Nang City, Hoang Sa Exhibition House coordinated with the Youth Union of An Khe Ward and Nguyen Dinh Chieu School to organize the "Marine Cultural Heritage" Festival to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
The program aims to raise public awareness, especially among youth, pupils and students, about the historical, cultural and artistic values of marine cultural heritage; at the same time, spread the message affirming the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland over the Hoang Sa archipelago.
The highlight of the event was the talk show “Hoang Sa sovereignty through cultural heritage” with the participation of researchers of history and marine culture, introducing many documents, maps, woodblocks, and royal records of the Nguyen Dynasty affirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa archipelago. The interactive sections “Quiz with prizes” were organized interspersed, creating a lively atmosphere and attracting students.
Thematic exhibitions, photo exhibitions, paintings and conical hats help recreate the scenery of the sea and islands, the lives of fishermen and their activities at sea. In addition, folk games and workshops such as net weaving, conical hat painting, “Fishing fleet”, “Uniting across the ocean” provide visual experiences, helping students understand more about traditional occupations and Vietnamese maritime culture.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Le Tien Cong - Chief of Office of the People's Committee of Hoang Sa Special Zone, Director of Hoang Sa Exhibition House shared: "The festival is an opportunity to honor the cultural values of the sea, and at the same time connect the community with the historical and legal heritage of Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands. The experiential and display activities help students approach the heritage in a visual and vivid way, thereby nurturing pride and awareness of protecting sovereignty."
The event was livestreamed on the Fanpage and Website of Hoang Sa Exhibition House, expected to attract more than 400 union members and students to participate. Multi-platform communication activities were deployed to widely spread the message: "Marine cultural heritage - Preserving memories, affirming sovereignty over Hoang Sa"./.
