The 4th Festival of Outstanding Families of the Southwest Provinces and Cities took place from October 10

Attending the meeting were leaders of units: Tra Vinh Electricity, Provincial Police, Tra Vinh Radio and Television Station and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism...

The festival is expected to take place for 3 days from November 10 to 12, 2023 at the main location of the Ho Chi Minh Temple Historical Site (Long Duc Commune, Tra Vinh City) and a number of locations in Tra Vinh City.

Comrade Tran Thi Phuong Tam, Deputy Head of the Department of Building Cultural Lifestyle and Family, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , member of the Organizing Committee, reported on the preparations for the Festival .

The theme of the Festival is determined as “Vietnamese Family - The Foundation of Happiness”; the scale of about 450 delegates is the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Central guests and 13 provinces and cities. In which, each locality of the province and city of the Southwest selects 04 typical cultural families to participate in the Festival (each family has 03 - 04 members including: father, mother and children).

The festival includes competitions such as: “Talented Family”, fashion show “Colors of Love”, cooking “Weekend Delicacies”, “Reading with Children” and “Playing with Children”. Along with that are sports activities and folk games.

Accordingly, at the meeting, delegates heard the decision to establish a local Organizing Committee with 18 members; heard the approval of the plan to organize the Festival and the work of security, order, logistics...

Comrade Huynh Chi Hai, Director of Tra Vinh Electricity reported on the power source serving the Festival .

Delegates attending the meeting focused on contributing many ideas related to propaganda work; ensuring power supply for the Festival; preparing volunteer youth force to support the delegations; resting areas and ensuring order...

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Duong Hoang Sum basically agreed with the delegates' comments. Comrade Duong Hoang Sum requested the units under the department to absorb the comments and closely coordinate with the sectors in each specific field.

Comrade Duong Hoang Sum delivered a concluding speech at the meeting .

Besides, comrade Duong Hoang Sum directed the professional department to coordinate with the Radio and Television Station to develop a script for the opening and closing ceremonies and competitions... The head of the Festival Organizing Committee requested the units and each individual of the Organizing Committee to focus on thoroughly grasping the assigned contents to help the Festival take place most successfully.
