Currently, nationwide, there are more than 4,300 models in the movement of the whole people to protect national security that have been operating effectively in the direction of self-prevention, self-management, self-protection, and self-reconciliation at the grassroots level; contributing to reducing crime and ensuring security and order.
The festival taking place in Dong Dang town, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province this year is one of 30 "point" organizing units nationwide. The activities at the festival have affirmed the role and close attention of local Party committees and authorities to the movement of the whole people to protect the national security.
At the festival, comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province informed that in recent years, the movement of the whole people to protect national security in the province has developed extensively, becoming a solid foundation in the work of maintaining security and order.
Lang Son province currently has 100% of residential areas with regularly operating mediation teams; effectively maintaining 45 models of association, self-defense, and self-management of security and order at the commune level, agencies, enterprises,educational institutions, etc.
Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung affirmed the position and role of Lang Son province as the gateway to the Fatherland.
He noted that in recent years, the province has paid attention to directing and promoting the movement of the entire people to protect national security, attracting a large number of people to participate with many rich contents, associated with movements of solidarity to build a new cultural life, patriotic emulation, building new rural areas, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty...

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung suggested that in the coming time, Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts, socio-political organizations, and educational institutions from the provincial to grassroots levels should raise awareness of the movement, considering it an important task of the entire political system and the entire population to promote and replicate good models and creative approaches.
Party committees and authorities need to have solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of the movement; promote the role of village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people among ethnic minorities, and the core force of socio-political organizations to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system and the people to participate.
Relevant parties regularly pay attention to and take care of people's material and spiritual life and promptly resolve people's legitimate needs and aspirations; effectively implement ethnic and religious policies, ensure social security, especially in ethnic minority areas...
At the festival, 6 groups and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province for their outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people to protect national security. The Director of Lang Son Provincial Police also presented Certificates of Merit to 7 groups and individuals.
Also at the festival, the Ministry of Public Security presented 20 gifts to families in difficult circumstances in Cao Loc district, Lang Son province.
