From concrete actions

Coming to Duoi Chuot Hamlet (Tam Lap Commune, Phu Giao District), everyone will probably be impressed with the model roads. The green, clean, beautiful country roads, the full lighting system..., all create model roads that are spacious and civilized. Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thao, Head of the Executive Board of Duoi Chuot Hamlet, said that in the past time, the Executive Board and the Front Work Board of the Hamlet have coordinated to propagate and mobilize people to initially implement well the contents of implementing a cultural and civilized lifestyle (VH-VM) in the residential area.

As a result, in the past time, the hamlet has propagated and mobilized people to donate 6,000m2 of land, planted 3.5km of flower roads, installed dozens of lighting bulbs, security cameras, volleyball courts...,” said Ms. Thao.

In Tam Lap commune, in recent times, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has promoted its core role in mobilizing people to participate in the movement to build a cultural and moral lifestyle. Specifically, the unit has propagated and mobilized people to plant new and replant 12 flower routes with 800 flower trees including Lagerstroemia, Tuong Vy, Huynh Lien, Chuong Vang, Bong Trang and Hoa Xu, with a total value of 80 million VND. In addition, the locality has also built 3 national flag routes with 400 flag poles, worth 88 million VND; installed 40 security cameras worth nearly 70 million VND, and 4 propaganda billboards from socialized sources.

More than a movement, "Civilized Saturday" has become a beautiful cultural feature of the community, contributing to changing the face of the countryside, building Phu Giao to be brighter - greener - cleaner - more beautiful and affectionate...

In addition, the association also coordinated with military units to carry out mass mobilization work, clearing the road DH502, the campus of the Commune People's Committee and schools; maintaining 7 environmental sanitation campaigns, taking care of the 2km long flower road, with 275 members participating. In particular, the association also organized propaganda and guided people to classify solid waste at source in Dong Tam hamlet, contributing to raising awareness and forming green living habits in the community.

Typical examples

In An Thai commune, Ms. Tran Thi Uoc, Head of the Front Work Committee of Tan Binh hamlet, is one of the typical examples in implementing the "Civilized Saturday" recently recognized by the Provincial Party Committee. Recently, Ms. Uoc has mobilized people to donate land to build roads, planted two new flower roads of more than 1,000m long and cared for two flower roads of 800m long. She herself also registered and mobilized people to participate in flower road and beautiful flower spot competitions, and implemented a 200m flag road with 60 national flags.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Kham, Head of the Front Work Committee of Hamlet 9, An Linh Commune, is also a positive example in joining hands to create a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape. Recently, Mr. Kham has organized the planting of 120 new bougainvillea trees, mobilized people to take care of 6km of flower roads and installed 33 solar lights 1km long with a total cost of 46 million VND. In addition, he also implemented a model of a 350m long national flag road with 32 flags.

It can be seen that in Phu Giao district, the spirit of “Civilized Saturday” does not stop at the call, but has really spread through specific and meaningful actions. The telling numbers such as thousands of meters of newly planted flower roads, hundreds of national flags flying on the roads, tens of millions of dong donated to the poor and social security activities... are vivid proof of the consensus, responsibility and love for the homeland of the people here. More than a movement, “Civilized Saturday” has become a beautiful cultural feature of the community, contributing to changing the face of the countryside, building Phu Giao increasingly bright - green - clean - beautiful and affectionate.
