Nghe An wins first place in the National Phu Dong Sports Festival Region III

After nearly 10 days of competition with a spirit of urgency, seriousness, excitement and enthusiasm, on the afternoon of June 20, the Phu Dong Sports Festival (HKPĐ) Region III completed the competition contents and officially closed with a solemn and cozy Closing Ceremony. Attending the Closing Ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, members of the Organizing Committee and representatives of the leaders and athletes of 12 delegations participating in the HKPĐ Region III.

Participating in the HKPĐ Region III this time are 2,135 athletes from 12 provinces and cities in the Central Coast from Nghe An to Khanh Hoa. The athletes compete in 11 sports with 403 events awarded medals.

In this HKPĐ season, there has been a careful investment from the athlete delegations and the uniformity in some sports between the units. Many matches have high professional quality, are considered dramatic, with spectacular comebacks, the athletes have strived to overcome themselves when overcoming the intense matches.

The audience witnessed many exciting, determined but full of sportsmanship competitions of school age. Through this tournament, the students had the opportunity to experience, exchange, learn about sports and make many new friends.

Nghe An delegation ranked first with a total score of 1,278, winning 37 Gold Medals, 31 Silver Medals, and 31 Bronze Medals.

Regarding the overall results, Nghe An delegation ranked first with a total score of 1,278, achieving 37 Gold Medals, 31 Silver Medals, 31 Bronze Medals. Quang Nam delegation ranked second with a total score of 1,220, achieving 07 Gold Medals, 12 Silver Medals, 47 Bronze Medals. Da Nang delegation ranked third with a total score of 1,205, achieving 44 Gold Medals.

The HKPĐ is an opportunity to evaluate and correctly recognize the quality of comprehensive education in general and physical education in particular; at the same time, discover typical factors to continue to nurture and train young talents, helping them to promote their qualities, abilities, and strengths. This is also a potential human resource for the Department of Education and Training to select for the Student Sports Delegation of the industry to participate in the 10th National HKPĐ in 2024 in Hai Phong city.
