Nghe An: Farmers contribute to protecting territorial sovereignty and border security

On October 12, the Farmers' Association of Thanh Son Commune (Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An Province) coordinated with Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard to launch the Farmers' Club participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

As a voluntary organization, the Farmers' Club participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security has the task of specifying the content and innovating the form of propaganda for cadres and farmer members to raise awareness of responsibility to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.

The club has 45 members, a 3-member Executive Board. Every 3 months, the club will organize activities focusing on people's foreign affairs, safety for farmer members and protection of national border security and sovereignty.

Through the activities, the aim is to contribute to raising awareness among members about border regulations and rules, actively participating with functional forces in patrolling and clearing border lines and landmarks, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, developing the economy and society, and having the awareness to voluntarily denounce crimes and violations of the law in the area.

At the same time, coordinate propaganda and mobilize people to grasp legal regulations on management and protection of national borders, strictly implement the Party's guidelines; State policies and laws and local programs and plans on investment in economic, cultural and social development in border areas.
