Diallo's controversial gesture - Photo: THE SUN
A video recently posted on social media shows the controversial image of the Man United star before leaving Malaysia.
In this video, midfielder Amad Diallo and members of Man United walk through a crowd of Malaysian fans. As he passes the camera, Diallo suddenly makes a middle finger gesture.
This moment obviously did not escape the eyes of the fans. Many Malaysian fans, and football fans in general, expressed their "disbelief" towards the 22-year-old midfielder's actions.
"What is Diallo doing? Tell me this is just a photoshoot," one fan wrote on social media.
Another criticized: "I don't know if this is exactly a middle finger. But he was aware that there was a crowd around, there were cameras and he did it anyway."
According to The Sun , Diallo and Garnacho occasionally use the "middle finger" gesture when taking pictures together. It is not ruled out that this is a habit of these players.
But Diallo's actions in front of a crowd of fans were still considered extremely reprehensible, especially when Man United were under a lot of criticism.
Immediately after the end of the season, Man United went on a tour of Asia. In Malaysia, they lost to the ASEAN All Stars team last night, and are preparing to play their next match against the Hong Kong team in Hong Kong.
The above video is said to have been filmed before Man United left Malaysia, and Diallo's ugly actions once again put the "red devils" under intense criticism.
Coach Ruben Amorim and his team had an extremely bad season when they fell to 15th place in the Premier League rankings, and also lost the Europa League final.
With such poor results, tours are a rare opportunity for Man United to make up for the revenue deficit. But Diallo has lost the hearts of fans.
