In the summer of 2011, billionaire Nasser Al-Khelaifi officially became president of PSG Club, after the QSI (Qatar Sport Investment) group owned by him bought 70% of the team's shares for 50 million euros (equivalent to 74 million USD at that time).

About half a year later, QSI completely owned the team when it spent another 50 million euros to buy the remaining 30% of shares (which had increased in price sharply).

Thus, the first amount of money billionaire Al-Khelaifi spent on PSG was 100 million euros, to completely own the team.

In the first season, the Qatari billionaire spent a lot of money on the transfer market, spending a total of 107 million euros to bring in more than 10 new players for PSG. They only earned back a mere 9 million euros from the sales that season.

After 14 years, PSG has always been among the top spenders in the transfer market. In total, they have poured more than 2.3 billion euros into buying players. This is purely the spending side.

On the selling side, PSG earned 864 million euros in the past 14 years. Thus, the French capital team has spent a total of 1.44 billion euros on the transfer market.

But the biggest expense is player wages. Statista statistics show that PSG has paid a total of 3.32 billion euros in player wages over the past 14 years.

Their record season for salary is the 2021-2022 season, when they have to pay up to 395 million euros in salaries, with nearly half going to the trio Messi, Neymar, Mbappe.

After all three superstars left, PSG reduced its salary budget to only 222 million euros this season.

Thus, over the past 14 years, billionaire Al-Khelaifi has poured a total of 4.86 billion euros (5.5 billion USD, or 143,000 billion VND) into owning PSG, buying and selling players and paying player salaries.

Of course, PSG also has to spend a lot of money on team staff, infrastructure construction and repair, youth training facilities... On the other hand, they are also one of the teams with the top revenue in Europe.

In 2011, PSG were valued at just €100 million. Today, their estimated value is €4.25 billion. Al-Khelaifi's net worth is currently around €8 billion.
