Literature and English are "easy", candidates worry about math being difficult

(NLDO) - This morning, more than 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City continued to take the third exam - math. The exam time is 120 minutes.

Sharing before the math exam, contestant Anh Duong, a student at Tran Quoc Toan Secondary School (District 1), felt quite nervous. On the first day of the exam, she did very smoothly.

Candidates said they need to achieve a math score of 7-8 points to be able to pass their first choice to enter their dream school.

"Literature and English are easy, so I guess the math test will be more difficult to tighten the candidates' scores. However, I am well prepared and hope to do well on the test," Anh Duong shared.

Candidate Minh Anh, Ha Huy Tap Secondary School (Hoc Mon District), said that because he did well in the previous two exams, he did not face much pressure in math.

"Before the exam, the teacher told me to be careful not to use the inference sign "=>" or the equivalence sign "<=>". I was worried because of time pressure so I forgot what the teacher told me" - Minh Anh said.

This year, the total enrollment target of public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City is 70,070 students.

After 120 minutes of taking the exam, at exactly 10:00 this morning, candidates will finish their important exam. Candidates taking the specialized/integrated exam will take an additional exam in the afternoon.

Previously, on the first day of the exam, the HCM City Department of Education and Training said that the percentage of candidates taking the exam was over 99%. Of which, in the literature subject, there were 76,154 candidates taking the exam, 281 were absent (0.37%), reaching a rate of 99.63%. In the foreign language subject, there were 76,160 candidates taking the exam, 275 were absent, reaching a rate of 99.64%.

According to the regulations for the regular 10th grade entrance exam, candidates will only be considered for admission when they participate in the entrance exam, take all required exams (3 exams), do not violate exam regulations, and all exams have scores greater than 0.
