The father was stunned when he heard the news of his son's death in the house fire in Tho Quan alley.

After noon on July 8, Mr. DVH (father of victim DTN) returned from Lang Son to the funeral home of Dong Da Hospital ( Hanoi ).

As soon as he arrived at the gate, Mr. H. was stunned and then burst into tears when he learned that his daughter was one of the three unfortunate victims who died in the fire at house number 12, Tho Quan alley (Tho Quan ward, Dong Da district).

Mr. H. said that at 8am this morning, while working in Lang Son , he received news that his daughter had an accident at her aunt and uncle's house, so he immediately took a bus back to Hanoi.

"On the way, I just thought my child had an accident, but I never expected this to happen," Mr. H. said in tears.

Mr. H. added that his daughter had just finished high school and was on summer vacation, so she had only been visiting her aunt and uncle for a few days. The incident was so heartbreaking that the family agreed to not perform an autopsy.

Today or tomorrow morning, the family will bring DTN's ashes back to her hometown in Hung Yen for the funeral.

House fire kills 3 people

Also this afternoon, Mr. NVK (38 years old, father of NQM and NPU) returned from the Central region to Dong Da Hospital funeral home to take care of his children's funeral.

Mr. K. shared that he and his wife had been going to the Central provinces for 3 days, and at 5am this morning they received information that their house was on fire, and their 2 children and granddaughter were trapped.

Leaders of Dong Da District People's Committee and Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs were present at Dong Da Hospital's funeral home to express their condolences and encourage the two families. Hanoi Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs helped each victim with 10 million VND.

Previously, at 5:20 a.m. today, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a fire report at house number 12, Tho Quan alley (Dong Da district).

The fire occurred at a 6-storey house combined with a service business (pedicure and pedicure), with an area of about 60 square meters and a reinforced concrete structure.

At about 7:37 a.m., the fire was basically extinguished. Authorities urgently investigated, clarified the cause and overcame the consequences of the fire.

The fire left 3 people trapped in the house dead: NQM (13 years old), NPU (11 years old), DTN (19 years old) and damaged many properties in the house.
