Hanoi: Timely rescue of 3 people in a house fire in Ha Dong

On the evening of September 15, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Hanoi City Police promptly rescued a woman and two children trapped in a fire at a 4-storey house on Nguyen Viet Xuan Street, Ha Dong District.

The fire broke out at 10:12 PM in a narrow, tube-shaped house of approximately 40 square meters. The fire originated on the first floor and quickly spread up the stairwell, creating thick, toxic smoke that engulfed all floors, trapping the occupants inside.

Authorities rescued the trapped people.

Upon receiving the report, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center dispatched Firefighting and Rescue Teams No. 4 and No. 15, deploying 4 vehicles and 24 officers and soldiers to the scene.

During the fire, one adult and two young children were trapped but were rescued in time.

Authorities broke through the rolling door and used oxygen tanks to access the upper floors to search for and rescue victims; another team extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading. By nearly 10:30 PM, the fire was brought under control. Three victims, including one woman and two young children (born in 2019 and 2022), were safely rescued.
